log on to ebay right now. do a search for "ps3 email". Watch the one ending soonest and watch how much it sells for. I just witnessed a free yahoo email address with "ps3" in the ID name go for 1200 dollars. Fucking incredible, I'm speechless. I'm trying one right now, its got about 12 hours left and someone has already bid on it! :o :o :o
There's no way in hell that these people are this dumb...
I didn't believe it either until i saw it with my own eyes. Give it a shot, the worst that could happen is that you lose 35 cents.
unbelievable

It's kind of like those people that bid $2000 on domain names that are terrible like "OMGPS3NEWS.com".

I mean, it's a freakin' Yahoo e-mail address! It's not even like it's "webmaster@ps3outlet.com" or anything.

Let us know how it goes. It looks like noobs are bidding high on these, which tells me it's unlikely they'll be paying. Maybe they see the auction in the last minutes and bid without noticing it's for an e-mail address. But you never know. Like you said...you'll only be out 35 cents!
Haha, oh well...sold for a buck! I guess I missed the bandwagon on this phenomenon!
Wow!!! I can't believe it. I just did a search for ps3 email, there is one at $710 with 2 bids.
And it clearly says in the description
"This auction is ONLY for an email address with the letters "ps3" in it and is not for the actul system. Remember, JUST the email address, nothing else."
And look at these 2 QandA that are at the bottom of the page.
Q: how long to receive?
Nov-22-06
A: Its in-hand and I will mail it to you after winning the auction within 24 hours of successful payment.
Q: do you have the product and r ready to ship and can you ship overnight? I need to do overnight...will pay 30.00 more for shipping....Thanks...Matt

A: Shipping is FREE and you will receive the item within 24 hours and I will email you with all the information.
The seller acts like he has an actual PS3 with his Answers. He even says he will mail it within 24hours after auction. I guess he'll email the email :P
You know, I feel kind of bad for these people who are bidding hundreds of dollars for a PS3 email. But then again, if you are going to bid hundreds of dollars on an item, you should clearly read the entire description.
I don't feel bad for the buyers. They need to smarten up. It's eBay, after all; scammers expected. But I do enjoy sending scammers an e-mail that just says: Shame. :)
People paid money for an e-mail address. What's next?
I've seen auctions for nothing. Literally nothing. If one of those ever sells, damn. :D
