Thought this might be nice to do since it's not obvious. On Waixing's official website in their ordering section, you can view a whole list of games they've made. If you click titles they show they sometimes have the boxart, and also more sparingly have a video they recorded themselves of the game being played. This is great if there's a title you have no idea what it is. Only sucks that not all games have one, before I or even Trenton received that Zelda port I found out about this and found the title on their site. Sadly, of all the big titles they've made they oddly didn't bother taking a video of it.
But anyways, I'll slowly update this. Here's videos I've uploaded for more convenience so anyone curious about this stuff can see.

Incase anybody cared to see the internal workings of a waixing cartridge, I decided to open mine and look.

Does anyone know the highest number release from Waixing and Shen Zhen? I've got 105 for Waixing and 74 for Shen Zhen.
ShenZhen's gone past 100, don't know the exact number though. Just to give an idea there's an original Dragon Ball Z RPG they made that's NJ095. There's still a few a-of-yet undiscovered games from them that I'm keeping an eye out for too.
There's more videos of undumped stuff I think, just been lazy and forgot. Plus I couldn't tell if people care :P
MS-DOS4, exactly how hard was it to open that Waixing cart? I would like to open some carts I have with loose batteries inside and put them back in place, but too scared I may damage the casing.
It's very easy.
Step 1:
Put both thumbs inside and gently pull apart the cartridge until it won't go anymore without excessive force.
Step 2:
While holding the cartridge partly open, use your pointer finger and dig your fingernail into the seam and press at point #1 until it opens up, then press down on #2. Bam, it's open.
The cartridge will never be the same. The cartridge will wobble like a mofo.

Nothing that a drop of hot glue couldn't fix ::).
I've broken several cartridges, and I just hot glue them shut afterwards.
But then you'd never get it open again. You might some day need to replace the battery!
Hot glue is strong enough to hold the cart in place but not adhesive enough to prevent you from opening it ever again.
Just pry it like before and off it comes. Also it leaves zero residue after removing ;).
Just bumping this to say thanks to 133MHz! I just got the guts to try opening my carts, had a few that had loose batteries. It was so easy! Glad it wasn't anything that required forcing it open, now I don't have to worry when I get things from Taiwan that are always with loose batteries(seems to happen to pretty much all FC games I get for some reason).
Thanks!
So I just got a nice stack of Waixing pirate games and finished sorting and testing them. I got some regular stuff (Zelda 3, Phantasy Star IV, Pokemon, Resident Evil), but I also took a chance on some games that looked interesting to me. Here's what I found:
1) They do quite a few translations of games. I have a game called "Sword of the Gods" which is actually God Slayer (aka Crystalis), Mystery of the Golden Triangle which is the first Legend of Zelda game, and Final Fantasy 3, which is exactly what it sounds like. All of them are in Mandarin, but they don't seem changes in any other way that I can tell (so far).
2) Three of the games don't work properly. :(
3) There's a game based on The Mummy movie (Brendan Frasier).
4) Dragon Quest VIII looks to be an original, but I can't tell if it follows the storyline or not.
If anyone's interested, I'll post some pics later when I have the time of any of the games you guys are interested in seeing. I'd like to find out if The Mummy or DQ8 are rips of existing games or not too.
Just a side note about Waixing: they also made a game called Desert Storm which is yet undumped (just like an Arc Hound prototype a friend of mine has - more side notes!).
Look this: http://fuji.drillspirits.net/stuff/desert/
Wow! That games looks so cool. It reminds me of Contra 7, or even GI Joe. There is also a hack of Super Spy Hunter called Desert Storm.
I'll be posting it for sale on Game Gavel. :D
I can if you want it. I'm listing pretty much all of the Waixing stuff up there b/c I got someone who buys these every time I put em up. If you want the Mummy tho I could do $40 shipped Priority.

'The Mummy' sounds interesting: I'd be up for buying that. What is the ganmeplay style?

I haven't gotten too far in it yet, just enough to test it out. Looks like an RPG but I haven't gotten into a battle. You walk around and talk to people for a little while (something about looking for a treasure map). I'll take some pix and report back when I get to the fighting.
Actually, I'd love to see some screenshots of the games they simply translated. I know they're the same games (except in Chinese), but that sort of thing interests me for some reason. Especially "Legend of the Golden Triangle" (aka Zelda).
I can take pix if you want, but I'm also selling those cheap ($20+shipping). The other ones I'm selling for $35+shipping ($5 for one, $10 for as many more as you want).
Here's pix of DQVIII:

Is this an original or just a rip-off with a different title screen?
Here's pix of the Mummy:

I forgot to take pix, but you walk around a dig site (I guess) including underground catecombs and the enemies are visible onscreen. Reminds me a bit of Esper Dream except the battles aren't action-based.
More pictures!
Pokemon Diamond:
typical turn-based RPG but you fight w/ Pocket Monsters (I think they are called Genies in Mandarin). You save via a computer in a store (or something).

Sword of the Gods (aka God Slayer aka Crystalis):
I forgot to take a pic of the title screen. XD I'll post more pix of this game later. It's, of course, and action-RPG.

Final Fantasy III:
Same as the Famicom game, just in Mandarin.

Mystery of the Golden Triangle (aka Legend of Zelda):
Yup it's Zelda in Mandarin. I didn't see any differences other than language.

I couldn't get my Famiclone to work last night so I couldn't take pix of the three games that require a Famiclone. I've been having problems w/ it b/c it's a cheap one. I think the av ports aren't working right on it. XD
