Title: Sticky Famicom Clone Controller
Post by: Ric on October 25, 2009, 07:24:02 pm
Hi there

Very new to both famiconms and the forum

I just bought a famicom clone (looks just the original however has AV connections which is great and turbo buttons on the control pads)

It all fired up well however the controller pad and the start buttons were a bit sticky in the sense that you needed to push down real hard at times to get it to move.

Is this just age or is it dirt/corrosion on the contacts that can be fixed?

Or is it something i just need to live with?

Thanks for your help

regards

Ric

Just dirt.  Open up the controller, and swab the pads and anywhere that looks dirty with isopropyl alcohol, put it back together, and you're good to go. :)

Thanks for the reply

I will open up the controllers this weekend and clean them.

Thanks again
