Title: FDS belt replacement sheet
Post by: madman on November 20, 2006, 12:24:44 pm
A couple weeks ago I came across a Japanese site and on there he had a very tiny picture of the actual belt replacement instruction sheet that Nintendo used to ship w/FDS belts.  Does anyone have a decent resolution scan of this, or an actual copy?  Thanks.

Do you want the sheet for collecting or do you need it to replace a belt?  I don't have a copy of it but I've switched belts before and it's a pretty easy process...

Well, I've replaced belts before, but I'm curious as to what all is on the sheet.  I've discovered that aligning the spindle head helps the FDS read disks a lot better.  There's actually a science to which way you adjust the spindle based on the errors you receive.  I'm just wondering if there's anything they recommend that I haven't been doing.  It'd be nice to have as a reference, I plan on making an FDS page that includes info on repair, disk dumping/copying, etc...stuff that is readily available elsewhere in Japanese but hard to come by in English.
