Title: Famicom controller help

i have a famicom hong kong version with a really stiff controller 1 cable, would i be able to re solder a japanese famicoms controller to the hong kong mainboard any tips or info would be great, also if i have posted this in the wrong thread feel free to move it,

They should be 100% compatible. Also the controller can be unplugged internally, no need for soldering if you're going to replace it.
