Title: FS: Boxed Somari
Post by: Medisinyl on March 26, 2010, 05:03:12 pm
[For those concerned with shipping location, I'm located in Orlando, FL]

Unfortunately, eBay removed my listing for this item, so I figured some would like to see it offered here.

Feel free to PM me offers or make a public offer in this thread.  Please don't ask me to separate the game from the box--I figure the quality of this particular cartridge would be appreciated by anyone looking for a boxed version of this game, so it would be a shame to separate them.  The game itself isn't too hard to find, but most here know the box is extremely scarce.  It does include the plastic inner casing as well.

Thank you for your offer.  The current offer is $60.

For reference, the last "game only" Somari sold on eBay for $62 + shipping...  http://cgi.ebay.com/FAMICOM-Japanese-NES-SOMARI-Mario-Rare-Nintendo_W0QQitemZ320488857226QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games_Games?hash=item4a9e9fde8a

So is there a certain amount of time you're waiting until deciding who to sell to?

I figure I should wait at least a few days to give interested Famicom World members a fair shot at making an offer (considering not everyone visits the forum everyday).  I had offers over $60 for it in the past when I had no consideration of selling it, and had initially paid more than that for it myself, so it may be hard to let go at that price (particularly considering a loose one managed to recently sell for more).

I suppose I'll suggest Tuesday night as when I'll make a decision (EST).  I'm definitely willing to part with it, and I'd like for someone here to have it that will appreciate it (now that it's been taken off eBay, I'm not offering it anywhere but FW).

If someone has a better idea, then I'd welcome a suggestion.  Of course I'd prefer to set a price, but there aren't many boxed Somari games going around to get any idea of what someone would pay for one (I haven't seen any others for sale at all and doubt I could ever replace it  :-\).  At least this way gives more people a chance I think...

/\ Thanks.  I worded what I wrote weird.  I meant if anyone else wanted to submit a higher offer, they have until Tuesday to let me know  :P

I'll PM you (Ryo) Tuesday night if no one else makes a higher offer by then.  If someone leaves a PM offer, I will keep them anonymous if they prefer.

Stop making stupid ass offers, all you ever do is insult people with such stupid things. Think to yourself, if YOU were selling something very rare and someone offered a broken Disk System as a trade, would you honestly accept that? I doubt it.  ::)

On topic, I can easily see more offers coming in(plus probably another tremendous trade from Marlon involving an elusive penny he found in the street) which will put this past $100, which would take away all the funds I have for gaming right now. So I'm out. Hope it goes to a good home!

mod edit: personal insults are uncalled for...

As others have mentioned, this wouldn't surpass the current high offer.  Thanks again for your interest.

Another 8-10 hours or so left to make offers :)
