I was cleaning up my Famicom and I noticed the VCCI mark on the bottom label:
It is the Japanese equivalent of the FCC Part 15 regulations, concerning radio interference from computing equipment.
According to Wikipedia, the VCCI was formed in December 1985, so it must be a post-1986 Famicom right?
This could be a rough, quick & easy way to determine any particular Famicom's time period, since pre-1986 Famicoms shouldn't carry this particular symbol. What do you think?
My famicom also has that logo and the FF (famicom family) logo on the front.

Then you have the 1988-89 model, I believe.
Mine doesn't have that logo or the FF logo... I assume it must be from 1984-1985 then?
i have a 1989 model too :D! i want a 1983(aka square button) famicom
