Title: Suggest some Famicom games!
Post by: CidHighwind89 on May 03, 2010, 06:50:23 pm
So I am sure this topic has been posted multiple times before but I wouldn't mind having
a fresh take on it.  I just recently get a copy of Stack-up for NES which as we all
know has a 60 to 72 pin converter.

So my question is what games should I start hunting down?
I would kinda like to start with official games and not pirates atm.
Also the less Japanese text the better.  ;D

Post your suggestions!

(Also if you have any games that you would want to get rid of I would be welcome to accept pm offers  :) )

Splatterhouse, Hello Kitty World & Keroppi Daiboken (sp?) 2. Holy Diver if you think the Castlevania games are too easy.

It's fun but really strange.

Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa (cute platformer with a baby)
Joy Mecha Fight (best fighter on the Famicom)
The Quest of Ki (crazy hard and fairly innovative platformer-ish game)
Nekketsu Kakutou Densetsu (especially fun if you've got a friend who'll play with you. Really you can't go wrong with any of the Famicom Nekketsu series. Basically you do some random sporty crap while beating the hell out of your opponents)
SD Hero Soukessen (platformer/action game)
Cocoron (Megaman-esque platformer where you choose your body, legs, head, arms, and weapon)
Robocco Wars (shmup/platformer where you switch genres every level or two)
Yume Penguin Monogatari (cute platformer where you're a penguin trying to lose weight)
Moon Crystal (well-animated platformer, but hard)

Yeah, I like platformers. I'll also second Hello Kitty World and Holy Diver.

nensondubois...
No, its New Ghostbusters 2, its completely different then Ghostbusters 2.
In fact its the only Ghostbusters game on NES/Famicom to be actually playable.

Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 are rubbish.

/\ Cart version is going to set him back +$100.  It'd be better to get a disk system and the disk version, so that way you can have the FDS for other games too.  I suppose a pirate would work too.
