I came across the ad for the F1 Race tournament which had the prize of the Super Mario Brothers Game and Watch. I know JC was trying to find out info on how many prizes were given out and whatnot so here's some info on it. Same as posted in the shrines but a little more detail on it.
There were 10,000 Game and Watch prizes given out. 2,500 for each of the 4 courses that you could submit your scores for. The top 100 scores for each course were given the Game and Watch along with a trophy. 101st through 1500th place were given only the Game and Watch. And then there was a drawing for 1000 of them for each course, total of 4,000 given out by drawing.

That is really cool. :D I'll have to get that added to the site when I recover my files. I've been looking for those posters for my grails collection. Haven't found them yet.
