If someone wants my used famicom Game Genie and book for $40 I got awhile ago from Maikol, I'll buy this version. 8)
Talking about collectibles, this is brand new. I just pulled out the Game Genie cart so you could see it's a 60 pin cart (box shows NES cart). Camerica were so lazy to redesign a whole new box.
It should probably go to someone who doesn't want to use it. I don't like to buy stuff I'll never use. For example, I once bought a complete sealed set of Aladdin NES carts & the deck enhancer and opened up and played them once they arrived at my house. :-[
I don't want to buy it if I'm not going to use it. I don't need to sell anything to afford it, but really don't want 2 copies of it, one which should probably remain on a shelf. I have enough stuff I don't use now.
Actually, the box is different. The NES version doesn't have Realtec or Spanish (at least my NES box doesn't) on it. ;)
Edit: Any other obvious facts, MasterDisk? :P
I would use it...
But why is it so high?? The NES version is cheaper

Supply and Demand. You can go onto Ebay anyday of week and pick up a loose NES Game Genie for $5 shipped.
Finding a Famicom Version is a little harder. Not to mention sealed in the Box.
Do whatever you want with it but just buy it hahah
totally awesome. I wish I had the money for this.
Shoot offers of trade if you don't have money at the moment
ah you are willing to trade to? What are you interested in?
I mainly collect NES/Famicom, Master System, Genesis and PC Engine.
I see I will pm you what I have to trade tomorrow.
Oh, I forgot to add SNES!

In other words, you'll sell the ruff looking one and without a box, and then, buy this new one instead, slick move I'd say ;) ...
Maikol is ag reat seller!

EricJ very well said.
In my case I used to buy consoles just to have them and not play with them, things changed and now I'll only buy what I'll really use.
I got an Atari Jaguar this one I got really only for collecting but it's kind of useless if I don't use it.
I traded the game with ooXxXoo. If someone was interested, I can get another in the same condition for $63.8 USD posted.
Bump!
I have another one of this available, check first post for prices and photos.
Anyone have a lose one? I'm not looking for CIB.
If I remember right, EricJ wanted to sell the loose one I had sold him, and then buy me this Brand NEw.
Up! It's still available.
If anyone is interested in looking at what Maikol is selling, I opened mine in order to look at it and test it out on my system, then flailed around cursing trying to put it back in exactly as it was (though that part isn't included.) Of course I took pictures for the benefit of all: http://blog.thewombat.org/2010/11/famicom-game-genie-unboxing.html (http://blog.thewombat.org/2010/11/famicom-game-genie-unboxing.html) I meant to post this earlier, but I've been busy and forgetful the last couple of weeks.

Perhaps I'm displaying my ignorance, and the NES in Argentina is US shaped but the cartridges are Famicom size
In Argentina 90% of the market was dominated with Famicom clones with 60 pins carts. There were some clones with the shape of the Nintendo (I even own one that is EXACTLY the same, but without the Nintendo brand), but these ones used 72 pins cart. If they put images of NES carts in the Game Genie box though the item is for the Family Game/Famicom, is just because they were too lazies and used the same box for different products.
Bump! Still available.
I'll totally buy this off you. PM Sent. :)
PM answered.
This is for the Famicom ?

It is. Don't pay attention to the photo, they used the same box for the NES version. But this is for the Famicom or Famiclones.
It's my last unit, don't let it go!
Up!
Just got it a few days back. Simply awesome. Famicom sized Game Genie that works brilliantly. Worth every penny.
Dropped down the price!!
Bump!
Sold one to Goldwing. 1 left to go, last unit!!
Hi, I am new here, I need help to find this rare item. I'll totally buy this off you without hesitation. I will send you a PM Thanks :)
I sent you an e-mail.
Do you still have one for sale? I know it's been a while, but I'm playing games on my Famicom carts more than my NES ones these days.
