hey, people, i was wondering if you guys owned any famiclones and what are they called. i own two and they are:
yobo FC3+(not really a famiclone its more of a NES, SNES, and GEN clone)
retro mini (portable NES)
BTW if you ever come across a retro mini pick it up its a great little system :D
I have a red/white yobo FC, and a cosmotech game engine.

Found it on Ebay.
o probably shouldve guessed that

??
Yeah, there's already a thread for this. And the thing about double posts stopped working! :o
I had a PS1 look-alike Famicom clone, thrown it away, but I did it because I was clearing up and needed to move.
Famiclones are unlimited their design can be anything.
My goal is to get that PS3 shaped one. That thing is awesome!

i saw an original famicom shaped on the said PS3 on the front, my goal is to get a dendy or the one that looks like a really skinny NES and plays both fami and NES games

A PS3 Famiclone, lol! But; Dendy is awesome, I have always wanted one because they are like the legend of Russia! ... and for the other system I assume you mean the Generation NEX, they suck.
@FRG - I have seen original XBOX famiclones but not as of yet have I seen an XBOX360 famiclone.
PS3 is FunStation? If I remember PS1 was also FunStation or something like it.
Weird, naming all the same. Did they? ???
I own a Famulator and a Dendy

It's obviously a photoshop.
But this one isn't. :P

That's the one I'm after. Someday maybe!
Lol, yea, Funstation 3... "what a remarkable piece of hardware" ;-)
Wanna know what's inside?
OK, but at your own risk ;-)
Spoiler

That's what I expected to see. That's really funny. :D The only difference between all these clones is their outer shell.

Okay, I actually laughed out loud at that.
Just picked up a Power Joy, my first Famiclone! Can't get it to work. Not sure if I should be disappointed or relieved.
I have a retroduo (if that count as famiclone) and soon i will have a Creation, a old GOOD clone, the same know as NASA

That picture made my day ! They should have called it "Frustration 3" instead ;D
I own a Yobo FC Game Console (I even did a review of it for Famicom World) and I also own an exact hardware clone of the original Famicom design dating from around 1990.
Oh, and I have the wonderfully useful Handy FamiEight, the device that you clip your GBA SP to and can use as a Famiclone and also a portable TV.
I used to own a GameAxe handheld too.
I own a wireless Penguin Famiclone that comes with the 111 in 1 multicart built in. (best multi ever made!)
The thing actually works pretty good, best clone I've ever used. It works with every Original and Pirate Famicom Cart I've tested as well as NES carts with Converter.
The Video is very clear Composite Out (unlike the older model Peguin Clone that had headphone jack style video out) and the Audio is spot on. (Nothing like the horrible Audio found on the RetroDuo etc..)
The only problem I can think of, is the wireless controller eats up batteries.

WOW ! ALL HAIL FAMI-PENGUIN-CLONE !!!! . . . :P
...no..really.. I love this thing! Wish I had one.. or two :)
Am I the only person who saw that last picture and thought "It's just gone 8 o'clock and it's time for the penguin on top of your television set to explode."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1k1ccguXiws (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1k1ccguXiws)
Relevant part starts at 2:26, but you really ought to watch the whole thing if you haven't seen it before.
I saw the last picture and thought the penguin's eyes looked too menacing to be a game console. I honestly think it'd be a little weird playing a game and having that thing sit on your TV and stare at you.
I own a GN twin NES/Genesis clone. I don't use it as I have both an official NES and genesis.
I want one

LOL, :D
That's the best location for it while playing because the IR controller needs direct sight to the Penguin.
You get used to the Evil Pirate Penguin pretty quick, lol.
That Famiclone is damn damn creepy. Where'd you get it? I want one now.
I got it at some cheap Video Game booth in the mall. Not even a store, it was one of those portable booth/carts you see in the midlle of the mall. They have a case load of them. I'd offer to go buy one and ship it to you but they have been getting popular and now they are asking $35+ That's crazy.
I think I paid about $20 out the door for mine brand new in the box still wrapped in plastic last year.
Your best bet would be to look for one on Ebay or something. It's sure is nice to have one Brand New in a plastic wrapped box with fresh firm buttons. But I've seen used ones on Ebay go for about $10.
Good Luck man.

do you live in america or somewhere else because even though ive seen the N64 plug'n'play famiclone it would just seem wierd that they would sell a famicom in NA
Well yeah, most clone systems have a port for Famicom games instead of NES so people who aren't familiar with the system don't know that it's exactly like the NES.

Yes, I'm in California and I purchased mine at the local mall.

wow that is fucking rare prob because i live in NC
I have the RetroDuo, a small retro Yobo knock off that works really well, a Micro Genius, Super Joy III, the Penguin clone, and an Sharp Twin famicom (yeah, ok this is a licensed piece).
I recently acquired a wireless Penguin Famiclone that comes with the 111 in 1 multicart just like Lee Yo's. But mine has a different controller design (more like a Genesis controller), and my handgun lightgun doesn't have a orange tip.
I have been using many different carts on it, all playing quite nicely.
An Ultra 8-bit which came with an 84-in-1 cartridge (which has Flipull and Gradius on it :) ) and a Gun Fighter which is pretty much one of those N64 controller clones except with mostly hacked games.
These threads are always fun! ;D Dunno why, I just like pirate hardware.
My Penguin clone:

My MicroGenius
(http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e333/shoggoth80/MicroGenius.jpg)
I've got a Power Joy III, but everyone knows what they look like, and it's not the best designed clone. ;D
I also have a Retro-Duo, since that is still a clone... Lol.
Aren't Penguin famiclones the coolest?! I mean it's eye glow evil red when you jam a cartridge in it's back and violently punch it in the beak... Lol.

-Lol Gremlin! You crack me up man.
I like the Penguin clone because it doesn't take up much space real estate! It also functions pretty well with most games that I have tossed in it. And I got it for a few bucks at a St. Vinny's. ;D
