i love (or atleast did), the games and TCG are awesome but the show is kinda fucked up
I used to collect the cards when Gold & Silver were new, and I still watch the new movies when they come out, and if I see the show is on, I'll watch it sometimes. I've been playing the games all my life though. :D
with the show and the movies ill watch them, and even though i can remember gold and silver my first pokemon handheld game was pearl
I was all about Pokemon in 1998.
Yeah, I loved Pokemon back in the day. Then I started noticing that every game played exactly the same as the previous game, and I started noticing how terrible the plotting and voice acting was in the show, and I started getting really bored with the whole thing. I still live in hope that they'll someday start making actual good games again, but I wouldn't bet on it.
I went and got Pokemon Platinum late last year after taking a twelve year break from the series. The game was very good; however, it really wasn't much different than Red.
Loved when I was kid and now I'm bored of it. For some reason I feel inclined to get Heart Gold.
I really think HeartGold is one of the best in the series. It's got everything that was awesome about GS, and it's on a newer system.
Loved Pokemon back in 1998! Hooked on it and the cards! Nowadays, not so much but I still think it's a great franchise. The anime was quite good in it's first couple of seasons, now it's just blah Ash become a pokemon master already! Also, bring Misty back! AWAAA!
I used to like Pokémon a few years back but now the show has unlimited Monsters which they're about anything and can't keep track of it, so better left it away.
The games are always welcome tho. :)
Btw, I've been looking for a genuine Pokémon beat 'em up game, does it exist?
The main Pokémon games are good. The remakes of Gold and Silver are spectacular. I wrote a review of HeartGold.

I liked Pokemon during the original 3; Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow. Then I quit caring but those 3 are still games I am quite fond of.
well whoever the hell at nintendo came up with the idea is a fucking genius (other than miyamota of course)

If it rains money then they shouldn't cancel, it's kinda like Disney, Justin Bieber is a no talent kid but makes tons of cash and it's what it matters.
Miley is pretty and seems to have some talent but Disney messed her up, well, it was more the money than anything else, with cash you can do about anything.

Reminds me of another series:
Hahahahahaha (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mega_Man_%28original_series%29)
Haha, yeah. But those games are a lot shorter, with an RPG you're spending 50+ hours on every game; with a platformer you're only investing a few hours (or quite a few, if you suck as much as I do).

Satoshi Tajiri of Game Freak - no kidding! Look it up.
Fun fact - my username dates from around 1998, and "Satoshi" is a tribute to Satoshi Tajiri. "Matrix" came from Enzo Matrix of Reboot, my favorite series of the time. Then The Matrix came out a year later and I could tell people that I used the word Matrix before it was cool. ;D

Between me and my bro, we had yellow, blue, red, pinball, gold, silver, and crystal. Also, the 2 stadium games on N64. I dropped out of the series and jumped back in with soul silver, which was worth it. My bro followed it in the gba/ds series.
The show was also sweet, but again, I stopped around johto area and watched the first 3 movies in theaters.
