I played it on KEGA FUSION . The game graphics are the same as the NES, but the sound is very different.
Yeah, I Played it also on Fusion
There's a thread on Sega-16 about it
There's also a port of the SNES version of SMB for the Genesis. It'd be kind of cool to have both. :D
This time the colors are *closer*, but the sound is still way off.

That version is crap
Not totally crap, the physics are off a little bit, but nothing terrible.
I agree with CMM. I enjoyed it when I played it.
This version has control problems

Two things: Number one; that review was made with an emulator, which means that the emulator may have not liked the ROM, and thus created problems of any kind.
Number two; Have you ever played this game yourself, on a console or emulator? You can't say anything about a game until you've played it yourself on at least a (good) emulator.
it sucks eather way
The Conterol on it are a mess, you die often
A = Fire B = Run C = Jump
You can't say a game sucks if you've only watched videos of it. That is not a valid opinion at all.
I just played through a few levels. It's pretty awesome. As others have said, the graphics look EXACTLY like the NES, but the sound is...off.
I played Super Mario 1998 on Fusion..I still say it sucks
I just love Super Mario Bros. on the Genesis..now that's great..
I tried to play it on a flashcart but didn't work. I think this rom wasn't programmed properly.
It may just not be compatible with your flashcart. I've seen quite a few homebrew games that have that problem.

Looks like the ROM have a problem, because some guys were trying to make a repro cart, but they failed too ???
This is a win. I like this ^^
The ROM needs work to get on a Cart
Well, take for example the Super Mario World Famicom pirate. It's exactly like this game in the sense that it can't be reproduced on a cart or played on a flashcart because it may just have an odd mapper that so far, no one has seen any donor boards with the correct one that they could use for it.
