Post a picture, let's take a look and we can find out.  I doubt anyone here will know from just a description.

The photos are fine.  All he's pointing out is that the "repair info" sticker is red while others (most?) are silver.

I doubt it means anything, really.  They probably just changed the sticker in later production runs.

I have 2 NESs and they each have different stickers. I got the NES with the red sticker on the west coast and the one with the silver sticker on the east coast. It could have to do with where the nearest repair center is located, or maybe is just different because of later production runs. The silver sticker one was made around 1985, whereas the red sticker one was made around 1990. I'd have to take a look to see if I can figure it out, but I really don't feel like it right now.

EDIT: The 800#'s are different between the two and the one with the red sticker has a repair sticker with an 800# on the inside of the toaster door. Maybe they were replaced when the NES was sent for repair. I dunno. Seems like a question better suited for a NES-specific forum.
