Title: Never order a Vogatek Supergun
Post by: i heart yuna on September 10, 2010, 02:20:12 pm
http://www.vogatek.com/

This guy has totally ripped me off. I paid him money months ago for a MKII Supergun (not small change either, it was $53!) and he hasn't replied to me once since the transaction cleared. No supergun, too late to file a complaint, total bullshit.

Stay away from this scammer. Buyer beware.

the MKII allows you to connect a JAMMA harness (with a power suppliy) to tv via S video or RCA out. the MKIII is purely for SCART, which is Europe only RGB input.

So with this, I could use my MVS on  my TV? That rocks! Too bad the seller isn't honest...

i know! there are a couple other options for doing the same thing, you can find them on ebay.

http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_kw=arcade&_kw=rgb

the reason that the MKII was so inviting was that it had the edge connector right on the board. the only other ones you can find (link above) have to be manually wired from the jamma harness to the device itself and powered externally.

Yeah that guy is a well known scammer.
For a couple of years ago he started out
selling these S-guns but the shipping time
was taking about forever since he built them
individually after receiving payment
so that he could afford to buy the parts needed.

So i guess you could say that he was not
that fair even from the beginning and totally
not nowadays.

Depending on how you paid, if you complain enough, you can get a refund. Even though eBay and PayPal wouldn't help me in one instance (I completely forgot about something I had ordered for a few months) but then my credit card gave me a refund in a few days.

Hm... MKIII

Still a douche move though - should tell people it's not built yet.

How long ago did you buy this? 2 weeks? Maybe the person's still working on it.  Might have backed up orders. :-\

I ordered one from ebay.  It took a really long time to come.  But his communication with me was great and it eventually showed up and worked great.
