Title: Pocket Monsters Black/White
Post by: satoshi_matrix on October 17, 2010, 03:56:19 pm
Anyone here playing through Pocket Monsters Black/White? I'd be up for some trades, particularly late game. I'm looking for a female Aianto. Maybe I'm fishing an empty lake though. Anyone here have the games?

What's so good about the Pokémon series? It seems repetitive and pointless, catch the monster and battle to collect the next one.

Although, it's a cash cow alright!

I could do the same thing to the old Sonic games, and say "What's so great about Sonic?  All you do is hold right on the D-pad and jump." or for any RPG really.

But we both know there's more to them than that. ::)

Sonic's a classic, it's an action/adventure/arcade game which no matter for how much time you play, you'll always love it.

Pokémon's repetitive, catch a monster and then to the next one. :-\

I've played some Sonic games, but I don't like them.
Is something wrong with me?  :P
I don't play Pokemon, too.

You can't just push your ideals on other people. It doesn't work that way. The notion that Sonic's a great classic and Pokemon is "repetitive" is just your personal opinion and not a scientific fact.

I gave up trying to Defeat Red in HeartGold, got lost in Diamond... yeah, I'm not ready for another Pokemon game. :)

I think Black and White are interesting... with all the new features and such (season changing, tweaks to the battle system, etc.) but I'm not terribly excited about it just yet.  I'm more focused with trying to defeat Red in HeartGold...  ::)  Out of all the newer (DS) Pokemon games, I like the Gold/Silver remakes the best. (D/P and Platinum bored me to tears)
