PES 2008 was where Konami commenced to fail to produce a realistic football simulator, and instead an arcade robotic football game.
Before that, PES 2004/2005 and 2006 were (and are), got to say PES 2005 gameplay's much better than PES 2011, it feels smooth and not robotic.
PES 2008 players run like robots till this day (PES 2011), I've lost my hope that Konami would go back, but that's not happening. They've sticked to robots and that's how it is from here to forward.
So, the best football simulator now is FIFA, more specifically FIFA 11, it allows to play 11v11 and be a goalkeeper (full liberty), plus other improvements.
Very disappointed with PES 2011, did not like a bit.

Football is the correct term, "soccer" is outdated and only Americans and Asians actually use it.

What Americans play is handball or rugby (ends up being the same), football is playing ball with the feet.
FIFA means:
Federation
International
Football (See it's not "soccer" but football!)
Association
You might not want to call it "soccer" when you're in front of other real football fans. They can be aggressive.

I was just joking with you man. :D Oh and I was in Europe this summer and made the same joke in Germany, mind you this was during the world cup and Germany was playing Serbia and losing. The Germans around didn't think it was very funny at first, but once they understood that I wasn't some arrogant asshole American they actually had a good laugh. And people say Germans don't have a sense of humor.
