I have a red Twin, and the disk screen (where Mario and Luigi are fighting over pulling the string and changing the colors) is pretty glitched and the scene never plays all the way through. I have had this Twin for a couple years now and it's always done this. It aslo says Nintendo, and I know the Twins are supposed to say Famicom (and my trubo twin does). What is going on here? I will post a video when I get home tonight.
Someone probably replaced the drive and ram adapter board inside it with parts from a standalone drive & ram. That's probably why it's glitched, too. Post some pics of the internals if you can.

forgot to mention that the machine works flawlessly, and have never had a problem with it other than the intro screen glitchyness.

Yeah, that video is not a Sharp Twin Famicom startup screen. Someone has replaced that with an original Famicom chip. I don't know the specifics, whether it's the BIOS or the ram adapter or what. The normal Twin Famicom screen has Nintendo replaced with simply Famicom. For some reason Sharp removed all Nintendo branding from their Famicom unit.

Still, that's pretty interesting. Especially that it all works.
EDIT: I see that you recognize that it's supposed to say Famicom, but I'll just leave this here anyway in case someone else doesn't know and wishes to know the difference. Still, I would say something definitely has been replaced... Even if that's the case though, whoever did it did an amazingly clean job, I can't see anything on that board that looks like it has been replaced. Maybe it's a factory fuckup? In which case, maybe it's a one of a kind rare item and it's worth thousands?
hmm... my twin fami says nintendo at the fds BIOS.
Also it works perfectly, the mario and luigi animations are perfect with no glitchyness.
Mine has a 7201 chip, you might want to check yours.
