Surprised a thread like this hasn't already been made. Anyone here like taking pictures? :)
I've always had at least a small interest in photography, and recently I met someone who really liked it, and got me more interested too. This Christmas, I got my first DSLR, a Nikon D3100, and I love it. I've taken a few pictures since then, and I'll edit this post with links to my albums on Facebook for you guys.
Edit: Album links: (I'll update this post as I make more)

The split is the change in season. The first 27 "sunny" pictures are with my old camera. The winter ones, and every picture after those, were taken with my new camera. I am by no means asking for praise. Most of these pictures are of random things anyway. If you guys have any constructive criticism, however, I'd love to hear it.
I love taking pictures, but I'm not that good at it. I also don't have a great camera. Architecture is my favorite subject.

I really like the third and fifth ones. Where were those taken?
I really wish I could get into photography. It's a shame that I'm too damn poor! :(

Thanks! The third was taken in New Mexico at Taos Pueblo in New Mexico, and the third was taken in Berlin, Germany.

No. But apparently since I'm majoring in Comm Design, I'm supposed to have a camera. :P
I do have a digital camera, but it won't run on anything after XP. :(
Use it in compatibility mode?
Or get an SD card reader (if your computer doesn't already have one). I hate having to plug my camera into my computer with a cord. I think it's much easier just to take out my SD card and take the pictures directly from it onto my computer.
I do the same thing with my cameras. Hooking them up with the USB cable and reading them through some slow, crappy program is such a pain in the ass. It's so much easier to just take the pics directly off the SD card. :P
Edit: I took these 2 photos going about 60 MPH in a car a few years ago. I think they look pretty good considering they were taken with a very old digital camera.

Already tried, doesn't work.

There's a thought! But I don't know how to take pictures directly to the SD card. I'll admit, it's a cheap camera. This was back when 7 megapixels seemed top-notch.

Did you mean "
from"? or did you mean you don't know how to save them directly to the SD card? I know some cameras have internal memory, but I figured they always automatically adjusted to save to the SD card as long as one was in the camera.
Whoa! You're right! :o
It DOES save directly to the SD card. :)
Thanks 'dork! :D
Now I can save myself the trouble from buying another one. I'm a penny-pinching (http://i498.photobucket.com/albums/rr343/JediQuestMaster/scrooge.gif).
No problem. Happy to help! I can't imagine how much longer getting all of my pictures on my new camera would take if I used a camera-USB transfer, considering I've recently been taking continuous shutters of objects in motion. ::)
Bumping with some pics from my evo

Also, new emoticons? Sweet! :mario:
Bump. Updated my first post with some new stuff! :star:
I'll bump this with the luckiest picture I've ever taken:

That fly is flying and about 4 feet away from me.
Oh my God! It's coming right for us! :o
Great photo nintendodork! We should rename the topic to "Luckiest shot", I'm sure other people have some great photos like this too :)
I have some real close up photos of small spiders, but those didn't move, so they were a bit easier to shoot.
It's really awesome to take a photo of a flying fly!
Hey guys! If you're my friend on Facebook (or even if you aren't, but have a Facebook account, and enjoy my pictures), you can "like" my photography page on Facebook! I'll be posting all of my photos there instead of my personal profile from now on. Lately, I've been taking pictures for my brother's band, and I've been working on pictures for the Wabash Trace, which used to be a railroad, now turned bike trail (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wabash_Trace). What I'm working on is taking pictures of all 70~ of the bridges and documenting their various traits.
If you're interested, I'll occasionally post pictures for that project on my photography page, but I'm trying to keep the actual bridge pictures to somewhat of a minimum, as they may be published in the future.

I don't have any pictures of my own to share, but I'm taking Photography in school. We're going to learn how to take good pictures and how to develop film. It should be interesting.
I wish our school had a photography class. Lots of schools around me do, but for some reason, mine is the only one I know of in our area that doesn't. :-\
