Title: Mobile phone - Symbian S60v5 - NES and GENESIS emulation
Post by: jpx72 on February 06, 2011, 11:34:47 pm
I am searching for a best way to play NES and GENESIS game roms on my mobile phone with Symbian S60v5. So far I have found two NES and one GENESIS emulators, but both NES ones are not freeware and the GENESIS one is no longer developed for Symbian (or is it?):

vNES - http://www.vampent.com/vnes.htm
iNES - http://fms.komkon.org/iNES/

PICODRIVE - http://picodrive.acornarcade.com/    (RISC OS only, older versions were for Symbian)

Are there any good Symbian based NES emulators? And is there a way to convert RISC OS files to Symbian aplication (*.sis/sisx)?

Any answer appreciated!

EDIT: Preferably not JAVA-based emulators please (like NesCUBE and simillar)

EDIT2: okay I just found this page http://notaz.gp2x.de/pico.php#UIQ3 - and from it's looks, there is PicoDrive (some other version as the original) emulator - going to try it out!

EDIT3: Well that EDIT2 page is for UIQ3 something... not working on my mobile. But found GPFCE emulator (0.3.3 (http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/Emulators/GPFCE-S60-3rd-Edition-87103.shtml)) and it's ok, but sometimes slow...
