Hi, i am just wondering if anyone has famicombox games and is willing to sell :D
I have many games , what do you have? trade? buy / sell? ;-)
I am looking for twin bee.
The famicombox games that i do already own are:
Donkey Kong
Mario Bros
Super Mario Bros
Mahjong
baseball
Gomoku
Golf
Wrecking Crew
Wild Gunmen
Duck Hunt
Are you looking only for original carts or pirate carts interest you also?
What pirate carts have you seen for the FamicomBox? I've never seen any... The FC Box has its own type of security hardware, which is different to the 10NES (CIC) and thus far there is no clone or method of circumventing it. Additionally, the FC Box BIOS uses a type of name-detection: I think this is read from the ROMs, making FC Box cart ROMs slightly different to their FC and NES counterparts int hat somewhere in the code is a signature that gives the FC Box the name of the game to display on the selection menu.
Between the two, there is at least a pair of bits that tell the FC Box to enable that slot int he selection screen, which is read during startup-phase, and generates the name for the selection screen. I don't know of anybody that has replicated this, or ever made pirate carts for the system. (Considering that they were for hotels in Japan, the hotel owners had no reason to go to China and buy pirate games.)
I recall a very detailed info section on the system on Kevin Horton's website (http://kevtris.org/mappers/famicombox/)... it' worth a read if this kind of thing is interesting to you. (It's not obvious when doing a Google search, so I inserted the corrected URL here.) Kevin mentions looking in his lockout docs for more info, but I've never seen any docs on the FC-Box configuration on his site. he probably has it in his notes somewhere though... :bomb:
hihi, Tonev.
I would be interested in seeing those pirated, never thought there were pirated famicombox games. Could you show me some pics of those :)
For real? I've never seen pirates for the Famicombox. You sure it wasn't just a mistake, or repo/pirate cart case?
I've never seen any repros or pirates for the thing because of the pin layout. If someone made an adaptor, you could just stick a Powerpak in there (or ten) ;)
I agree that there are no known pirates/repros working on famicom box system. I think tonev is not getting the point that famicom box is a own system and not just a famicom (clone). I think it is more or less an understanding mistake (@tonev i do not meant it in a bad way!)
Um i have a famicombox game !!!! that is a pirate or maybe a famicombox game but not in original shell... but who knows i can't test it...
HI, Tonev.
Could you send me a pic of the game :)
yes i can :)
