Title: Self-introduction here, we are volumerates.com selling famicom cards.
Post by: Volumerates support on June 26, 2011, 08:31:25 pm
Hi All,

Firstly, we meant no offense to spam in this forum, but we found out that more and more customers are from this forum, so we were thinking to register here to provide direct support here for those questions need to be answered.

Secondly, we were thinking to provide some coupon codes ONLY available for this forum users from time to time to show our great gratitude for all of your support.

Lastly, this is our first post in this forum, we don't know if this violates the forum rules, but we meant no harm to all of users here, we simply want to build a good relationship with all friends, providing more famicom related products, or some other products you want us to find ^^, and also always better price!! Like first hand coupon codes!

So we hope the administrator can approve our behaviour, if any things we did violates the forum, please let us know. For sure, we will adjust our behaviour later to show our great respect for this forum.

The last thing, we hope we can bring more products and better price for users in this forum!! Hope you guys enjoy shopping at volumerates.com.

Our link for famicom products is: http://www.volumerates.com/cate/video-games-fc (http://www.volumerates.com/cate/video-games-fc)

Hooray!!

Regards,

Volumerates.com

Welcome at our forums.  :gamer:
Usually self introductions go elsewhere, but you have a link to your shop here so I guess that's ok.

Prices are low already, but I like the sound of "coupon codes".  ;D

For the coupon codes, what i was thinking to generate some coupon codes only available for users in this forum in some special occasion, so we will see.

Just wondering, are those Famiclone systems in PAL or NTSC format?

we are shipping from HongKong, so the machine comes with NTSC format.

If you need PAL, let us know, we can simply upload it on our website for purchasing.

These kind of games would be interesting:

They call them "chinese originals"  ;D
The Mass Software Cartridge (245 in 1) is very interesting too.

Also, if you cand specify what games are inside the XXX IN 1 we will glad you.

Just to add some more info about the games that are pictured in Strider_Hiryu: These are games from http://www.waixing.com/cn/index.htm and http://sznanjing.en.made-in-china.com/ but Nanjing stopped production of Famicom games. It may be the same for Waixing.

Maybe Volumerates can still get some stock of these but the productions of these games likely already ended.

great, definitely going to find some of those games.

Actually, we still got like around 80 plus cards piling in the office right now not uploading on our shop. Because most of them are multi in one, and we do have a feeling, (also based on experience when we were young), most of the multi-in-1, is simply some-in-1 in a repeat manner. Isn't it?

That's why we are hesitate to upload these cards. So any suggestions about this??

Among the 80 plus cards, many 4-in-1, and some multi-in-1, so if you guys, want, let us know.

For the game list, sure, will see if we can get that!

Hope you guys enjoy shopping at volumerates.com!

Keep watch for games expensive in usa format. Anything like little samson, panic restaurant, power blade 2, bubble bobble part 2, etc.

I'll gladly try an odd foreign version if it saves me $50+. :)

Edit: Oops, seems you've got snow bros covered.

From what I understood, the only cart that had a problem was the Adventure Island one, the others seems to work well. If not then please correct me. (Btw, some smaller carts are bad too).

I doubt they have any control over that, they just buy these in bulk I assume and have nothing to do with the production facility.

I bought 4 games. It's problem with one game (http://www.volumerates.com/product/4-in-1-8-bit-home-game-cartridge-hero-fighter-hero-goal-3-hero-story-hero-sporting-96402). It's shit multicart. It isn't 4-in-1 8-bit Home Game Cartridge (Hero Fighter/Hero Goal 3/Hero Story/Hero Sporting) ::)   Photos: http://www.aukcjoner.pl/gallery-demo/6441277.html

I wouldn't expect any better from those multicarts. I'm confused why so many people are going nuts for them, they're shit, end of story : :D Especially anything with those YH IDs, they're cheaply made and not worth it.

volumerates, I wonder if you guys could possibly try to find these Gameboy Advance games?

Hmm, I'm not sure I understand. When you say card adapter does this mean it's not an original cartridge, but the game uploaded onto some sort of cartridge?

Is it possible to get an original copy of the game brand new?

I think that's just a translation typo. In all likelihood, the carts are just boots of the original games, sans box or manual. Nothing really special.

checked with factory, they don't do stocks for this game cards, so all the orders of the carts, will need production time, that's why the order includes these cards might take extra time comparing our normal items. Anyway, we are pushing factory for earlier shipment each day. So hope we will keep sending orders.

Thanks for shopping at volumerates.com.

Nah finding good NES to Famicom converters is worse. Not only do you overpay, but even the best rarely bother to support Castlevania 3 US.

Has anyone actually gotten these carts?
I have two on the way and just want to know what games are included.
I have a 132 in1 and a 79 in 1 cart coming.
i know that there will be heaps of doubles but it would be nice to know a few of the titles.
I am really only looking for a lot of the common titles like the Mario series etc.
Title: Re: Self-introduction here, we are volumerates.com selling famicom cards.

the high game count carts here seem to be worse than the low game count ones, so you'll probably only get about 6 common titles per cart - maybe SMB1, Battle City, Track & Field, Galaxian, Lunar Ball, Soccer.. something like that. The 4 in 1s are a better deal IMO, they have later, less common games, and you know exactly what you're getting.

Might be worth pointing out that the cart shells are ridiculously cheaply produced so you have to be rather careful with them.

Exactly. The high count multicarts usually only have 6-12 different games MAXIMUM, not worth it just get a bunch of 4 in 1 and 6 in 1 carts...

Not quite. I got a multicart which claimed to have Summer Carnival '92 on the label and it had Gun-Nac instead. Both are great games, but it's annoying when they advertise the wrong one.

@Volumerates support-
I noticed you posted here (http://www.volumerates.com/forum/3/thread/2205) that these are flashed to order by the factory. Does that mean it's possible for them to make custom carts with any combination of games you ask for? Or doesn't it work like that?

Volumerates. There's another model of this that resembles a Gameboy Advance cartridge. Looking at the exact same creator and factory, possibly. It's still known as "EZ Flash 3 in 1 (GBA Shape)" and it's designed for the first version Nintendo DS, and for Gameboy Advance. Would it be possible to get some of those in stock? They're the ones I'd need for my projects. I can modify the DS ones to work for what I need but this way would make it...simpler.

Received my Supercard yesterday, have yet to test it out. Thanks for the quick shipping!

(As a sidenote for those who don't know: if you're ordering any Famicom carts in addition to something else, I advise placing the carts in one order and creating a separate order for all other items. As the games are flashed on order, you'll be waiting an additional processing time for those carts, and if everything's together in one order, those pirate carts will hold up everything else.)

Hi Vash,

Thanks for the post and the detailed picture. Well, yes, the warehouse put wrong items for you. What a pity, the items you received were far more expensive though. So any ideas we do for this case? What about you try to sell these to friends and get more money? So you can simply buy the 8 bit card again. Or simply contact our customer service to send back those three cards and get change with the 8 bit cards.

we shipped the order on Aug 1st.

And that's a non-tracking order, so we cannot track it with post office. But for sure it definitely shipped out. But normally it takes 7 to 11 days to arrive.

So please be patient and check local post office?

I have also ordered from you so I'm looking forward for the DS game :)

Anyway, a lot of my eBay purchases from China and HongKong took more than 1 month to arrive, 4 weeks without tracking is normal. And I also lost two or three packages. But HEY, what are you expecting for the price they are selling that stuff for? I have ordered a DS game for like 5USD and I got FREE shipping!
I don't want to defend Volumerates, because when you pay for your stuff, you also must get it, otherwise it's thievery. But ... well I'm curious if my order arrives, I also paid for the tracking :) (I'll let you know)

Not sure if anyone is interested but got 2 carts in the mail today.
106 in 1 and a 79 in 1

Looks like they only have 5 games on each
106 in 1 titles are
F1 Race
Galaxian
Super Mario
Tetris
Goonies
79 in 1 titles are
Super mario
Tetris II
Lode Runner
Super Tank
Macross
and some fruit machine game

All work perfectly on genuine hardware.  not too bad for $6

I have never had a problem with volumerates THEY ARE THE BEST... they ship stuff way faster than other sites like dealextreme... ( i am never buying for DX again their support is bad... and i have been waiting 10 days so they can just "collect items from suppliers" ... )  when you make a order from volumerates they ship it 2/3 working days after you make the order and 1 week till it arrives :)

Oh and i have a question can you sell only the manuals and boxes for gba games? Because i have many games that are missing the manuals and boxes and it will be great to have them :)

it can be done, each package and manual cost 1USD each.

So you may simply let us know what sku and quantity you want. So we can do?

also all new orders for the GBA cards are coming with manual and package box from Day Aug 23.

Post Merge: August 24, 2011, 06:24:25 pm

there are just a big shortage of the 8 bit games from the factory, we kept pushing them day by day, and it definitely influence the speed of our processing.....

well, so we suggest that you don't mix other items while ordering these games, and you need a little bit more patient about these cards getting shipped.

We are trying our best to push factory to fulffill the orders from time to time. So hope all customers could understand and be more supportive to us.

We will bring more exciting items with better processing time later on!! Stay tuned, guys!!

Volumerates, I am willing to help get some more games (and more genuine  :P) famicom games on your site. I've been trying to sell them here but it isn't working too good...

this is what the tracking said about my item:

Your item was returned to the sender on September 10, 2011 because of an incomplete address.

I ordered my item on July 25th, but it never arrived. I just now submitted a ticket on the Volumerates website. Airmail shouldn't be this slow.  :mario:

Maybe because we're in the US.

I don't see how this is really an excuse for something not arriving. According to their records, it was shipped, so who knows why it didn't arrive. Maybe it's the way the customs forms are filled out. Airmail from HK or China usually gets here in about 4 days.

Volumerates sounds more like a drop shipper than a wholesaler to me. But, I could be wrong.

Nope it is not a drop-shipper... dealextreme is 2 months and still waiting for my GBA case and they did not even refunded my money... they send me an email that refund was successful but it was not... so i will never order from DX again

Got my games today but 2 are different games to what i ordered, think its more the factories fault for putting different number labels on the carts, anyone else had this problem?

96457    4-in-1 8-bit Home Game Cartridge (SILK WORM/ADVILAND 3/DEAD FOX/GROSS FIRE)
96395    3-in-1 8-bit Home Game Cartridge (Turtle 1/Turtle 2/Turtle 4)

Carts i got were Kage/Astyanax/Street 12p/Rev hero and Batman/Spiderman/Turtles1/Turtles4. both have the number labels for the games above, i wouldn't mind but the first cart i already have and i'm still missing turtles 2  :'(

Well, considering the dirt cheap price, I'm not surprised with all these issues. It really isn't cost effective to do all the legwork to confirm everything is proper.

It is whole sale , low mark up per unit. Cost per unit is offset by quantity. Many other wholesalers with good management rarely have problem.

Interesting. I've placed my order from Volumerate on Aug 29 and my items still have not shipped. My first excuse was because the items are unavailable from the warehouse, but everything will ship on the 9th. Come the 13th, my items are delayed again because of "Chinese mid-autumn day" ...  ???

I've yet to get a confirmation email that my items were shipped. DealExtreme, on the other hand, has pretty much been spot on whenever I deal with them.

If someone from Volumerates can check on the status of my order, thanks. Order number: 110829H9TT0FVRS

hi volumerates_support, do you accept requests?

It would be great having some supervision xxx in 1 cartridges like the ones listed here:

http://bootleggames.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Multicarts

Supervision 110-in-1
Supervision 115-in-1
Supervision 16-in-1
Supervision 52-in-1
Supervision 76-in-1

The most important thing is that if you sell multigames with a lot of dupes, people wont buy them, you need to offer hi quality multigames.

Thanks

we shipped the order on Aug 1st.

And that's a non-tracking order, so we cannot track it with post office. But for sure it definitely shipped out. But normally it takes 7 to 11 days to arrive.

So please be patient and check local post office?

Bullshit. I submitted a ticket through your site and was told it was held up at the HK post office and hasn't left your country yet. I already purchased the item from another seller and received it so whatever. I'll just write this off and never order from you again.

recived my games on 9/22 and I'm pretty happy with them. the physical cart quality is shit I feel like they my break when I put them in my famicom and if you drop one it may shatter but for 2 bucks and some change what can you expect my biggest grip is the labels they were put on so half assed with no care what so ever there not lined up at all but again you get what you pay for. as for the games there great and for the  most part are what they say they are the adventure island cart has 2 3 and 4 on it but on the menu screen 4 is labeled as 3 and 3 labeled as 4 buts thats fine all games are there in full original form. The 7 in 1 mario cart contains mario 1 3 5 7 10 14 and 16 i'm sure most of you are familiar with these hacks if not look up list of mario hacks in the famicom forum to see what they are they are I just want to add mario 5 is just mario 2 or know in japan as super mario usa. All and all I have to say i'm pretty happy with my purchase and will but from them again. I mean for 8 bucks and some change I couldn't ask for anymore I got some cool games i've been looking for but I highly recommend you get tracking. If anyone has any questions message me hope this is helpful to some one.

I got a few carts today too.  I got the Mario 7-in-1 (100037), it has SMB, SMB USA, SMB 3, and a couple Flintstones/other hacks.  The 8 in 1 Hero set (100041) is awesome, it has seven Nekketsu games (Dodgeball, Street Challenge, River City Ransom, Basketball maybe?  Volleyball... there were seven).  Totally worth it.  Also got the 3-in1 (96401) with Yuyu 3 (called Mortal Kombat 7 on the menu, some chinese fighting game), Rockman 3 (it's Rockman 3, but with 30 lives), and Double Dragon 3, seems to be the real DD3.  Finally I ordered a different cart for my last one than what I got.  I ordered 96457 but got 96458, this one has Silk Worm and something else, but also Capcom's Code Name Viper (called Dead Fox in Japan) and what seems to be Adventure Island 3.

All in all pretty great.  Yeah they feel cheap but they're pirate carts for 2 bucks each.  I took one apart and it's amazing how small the boards are ,they also have recent manufacture dates printed right on them.  Here's an image of the Rockman 3 cart, both this board and the Nekketsu board are dated the same, the other two look older.

Got my 64 in 1 no repeat cart yesterday.
The plastic is a little bit thicker than the other carts so is a little bit more robust.
Really happy with the cart.  Has most of the classic games.  There are about 10-15 repeats but hey for $3.50 what more can you ask for.

I can confirm that the 64-in-1 works on real hardware. Unfortunately, these new orange cartridges (64-in-1, 7-in-1 mario, etc.) are a bit thicker (and sturdier) than the other yellow ones, so they don't fit inside my NES (with a famicom-converter, of course). The old yellow one does however, so whenever I feel like playing the games in the orange cartridges I have to swap the casing to a yellow one. No biggie, though.

Took 3 weeks to ship out, then another 2 to actually make the transit but my carts finally arrived. As previously mentioned, the carts are cheaper than dirt and would break under the slightest of pressure. The 3 in 1 Adventure Island Cart does not work on real hardware but the 132 in 1 does (which has only 5 crummy games). At least the Hello Kitty iPhone cases I got for my wife are in much better condition!

Just modded another Famicom for AV but this time found that the 64in1 cart did not want to play nice.  Lots of interference.
This is the board that has the seperate RF board connected by a ribbon cable.

Other multi carts with the crap case seem to work fine.

I've noticed that quite a few seem to be having problems playing the Adventure Island multicarts on official hardware, so I just thought I should add that I've ordered this one:

http://www.volumerates.com/product/3-in-1-8-bit-home-game-cartridge-adventure-island-2-adventure-island-3-adventure-island-4-96337 (http://www.volumerates.com/product/3-in-1-8-bit-home-game-cartridge-adventure-island-2-adventure-island-3-adventure-island-4-96337)

and it works great. For some reason the PCB was mounted backwards in the cartridge, so I had to open it up and flip the board over - then it worked. I'm not saying that's what causing everyone else's problems, but this was the case for me. Just look on the pins (connecting the cart to the system); two pairs should be connected together to form an H-like figure. Those should be facing the back of the cartridge.

As for the actual contents of this multicart it's Adventure Island 1, 2 and 3 (I think).

I'd love to see a cart with Centipede or Millipede on it. I know that there are pirate carts that have them, but I haven't seen any on the VR site.

Hi Volumerates!

I'd love to see more Rockman games, preferably a Rockman 1-6 multicart, but singles would be more than welcome as well. You have a multicart with Rockman 3, but I'm afraid the menu (brought up by pressing Start during gameplay) doesn't quite work on that cart, making it hard to play the game.

I'd also love to see:

Thanks!

Volumerates support, what sort of requests can you realistically fulfill? I don't want to make any requests that are impossible for you and your suppliers.

That said, I bought a GBA SuperCard MiniSD from your site a few months ago, and have not been able to get it to work. If you could find a similar product that is more reliable, that would be fantastic.

Thanks, the main problem holding the progress of the FC cards is the local Chinese factory couldn't find the games. So maybe better provide the name of the games and the picture of the game. Even better we can get the related links for the games. So the factory might can provide the games quicker.

So name of the game, and picture of the game will help a lot.

Hi Volumerates!

You can find a lot of useful information (including pictures) about lots of games on this site:
http://bootgod.dyndns.org:7777/ (http://bootgod.dyndns.org:7777/)

If you need ROM-files to put on the carts, they're easy to find on the web. If you're having problems finding them, I'm sure someone  ;) would be more than willing to help you.

Hi Volumerates!

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'd love to order more Famicom games from you if you could get some new games in your shop - especially Rock man!

I'm also considering ordering some GBA games, but even more so I'd like to order a flash cart for GBA. I can't find any anywhere...

The pirates from these guys are pretty neat, it is just a shame the casings are so, so terrible.  Just the force of squeezing the cart for my Adventure Island IV caused the whole case to pop off.  Probably will open up some spare carts and pop them in there just to have a good casing.

lobdale the adventure island cartridges are the old ones the new ones used in 64 in 1 or mario 7 in 1 for example use the new cartridges that are made from better material and are harder to take apart...

Yesterday, I went ahead and order the 64-in-1, the Kage/Recca (is it really just Gun-Nac?), and the Kunio-Kun one. I figured, for $12 shipped with tracking, it's not a huge loss if these things crumble in my hands.

The 64-in-1 is pretty neat and I'm glad I bought it, but the Mario 4-in-1 I got was utter trash. Oh well, 2 multicarts for less than 5 bucks shipped... I could've done a whole lot worse.

I've recieved my first of 2 Kunio 8 in 1 carts... Here's as good a palce as any for an impromptu photoshoot right?

First, the cart itself as it arrived.

The front of the PCB. Note this is NOT a "Onebus" VT-02 cartridge.

The PCB back is just lines. The board is so thin you can see the gloptops through it if you shine a light on it.

The cart on my 60-72-pin adaptor.

Aaand running on my TV. From my "Toaster" NES.

So, to lay worries at rest. these aren't incompatible because of "Onebus" setups. They seem to be just cheaply-built at the factory. but whattayawant for $3 eh?

All in all. I now have 8 Kunio-kun games I've wanted for a very long time on cart. Win!

Does anyone know how to do special moves on Street Fighter 12p?

If it's a Yoko or Hummer Street Figther then the special moves are the same as any SF.

That...or they sell in quick spurts so they can steal money yet don't have to ship out their carts because they close their business frequently.
I've never ordered from them, but it seems like a complete coin toss as to whether people get what they ordered, get the wrong product, or nothing at all.

At least some folks got something from them, but they never gave out any damn coupon codes for forum members that they mentioned a year ago.
They don't call them pirates for no reason! Best to stick to the purchases of resale vintage pirates if faith is on the line.

Are you word-playing on my comments and calling that vintage, or are you actually saying that these modern pirates are manufactured poorly?

There is of course the chance that the PCBs are vintage and the shells are new. My comment was generally about how people placed orders with this company and didn't receive anything in the mail.
If these are vintage pirate PCBs in newly manufactured shells, it at least makes them cooler in my book.

That sucks. I'm sorry they stole your money and betrayed your trust. I had nothing but good experiences with them, on the other hand. I fired up some of those awful milk jug plastic carts with a friend last night and had a great time. Guess it's a risk that one takes with sketchy sites like that: you might get lucky or you might get burned.
