It's a very common game in Japan and a extremely rare game in the US; Japan had already had success with Mother on Famicom; so the sequel was a huge seller. In the US, Earthbound (Mother 2) was a unknown game thus selling very poorly but later being realized as a great game. Just like RoboTrek!
