As the subject states, I want to buy a couple of NTSC xtals with frequency of 21.477272MHz
Shoot me a PM if you have them (or know where I can buy them)!
Thanks!
I did tons of searches, with no results; it would appear as though you will need to just buy some cheap NTSC NES-clones and NTSC Famiclones.
Or hope people have busted Famiclones, funny thing about that I didn't know famiclone parts might be useful later... I had 2 busted NTSC clones and a Famicom over the last few years that I could have apparently taken the Xtals from. They ended up in the trash... Oops.
I need the same. I have found them from mouser for like $1.50 each but shipping is like $45USD!! which is crazy.
If anyone finds them let me know also.
I'm in the opposite situation, I need a 26.601712 MHz (PAL) crystal which I haven't been able to find but I do have one or two of the 21.477272 MHz (NTSC) ones lying around, pulled out from broken consoles. ::)
I'm willing to trade a NTSC crystal for a PAL one, if anyone's interested. :)
I don't think shipping would be of any concern given the size and weight of these things. :yoshi:
What do you mean by original? I need a PAL crystal but I only have NTSC ones, if your needs are the opposite we can trade. ;)
I have a lot of broken famiclones so just tell me what do i need to look for?
Did pirate just steal my topic? >:(
Since the famiclones are not working how can i check if they are NTSC or PAL?
...the small number on the xtal itself.... 21,477 NTSC; 26,xxx PAL

Oh you shouldn't have, I just wanted you to respect my question first. Anyway, I managed to get 20,98MHz and 21,88MHz xtals, so I think it might work... at least with the 21,88 as it can be turned down with some timmer-capacitor...I think...
So you are looking for stuff like this ( i have many ) but i just can't see NTSC or PAL...
Here is a picture:

You have to check the frequency noted on the casing--that one is a PAL xtal (26.601712 MHz).
What happened to the legs on it?
Yep that's PAL xtal, but this one is too damaged (the legs are gone).
I know ;D And i am responsible for this :D well if anyone is looking for the legs they are still on the pcb ;D
Next time i will be more careful and I hope i have an NTSC one.
