Title: Famicom light gun
Post by: FAMICOM-pirate on October 26, 2011, 03:46:30 am
How much should I pay for a good lightgun for famicom?
I saw some on eBay for 100$ buy it now, is this a good price or can I get it used for a much cheaper price like 30-50$ ???
THANKS :pow: :pow: :pow: :pow: :pow: :pow: :pow: :pow:

It seems to go for around 100$ used on eBay allot. EBay is almost always expensive, especially buy now. A cheaper alternative would be looking for a clone gun that works on famicom or making an adapter for the Zapper.

Check this thread out about making the adapter with extension cables: http://www.famicomworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=4564.0

Yeah. A boxed authentic Famicom lightgun goes for around $100 at least.

US$100, or more; sometimes much more. usually they go for double to quadruple when boxed/complete, or NOS. The 'Wild Gunman' set is pretty rare, especially complete. The guns will cost you $50-$100 even on YAJ, plus postage. $50 will possibly get you a very beat-up or damaged one, and after import costs you're almost at $100 anyway. :bomb:

All that said though, the Famicom Revolver Lightgun is fantastic, and feels more expensive and eloquent than either the gray or orange zapper. It still can't rapid fire, but its trigger doesn't have nearly as much resistance as the Zapper does.

Don't forget the hammer on the revolver that kicks back when pressing the trigger.

The red Zapper matches the Famicom much better with the red and grey colors than the NES. It is also much easier to find than the grey Zapper.

I would prefer to have the Famicom Light Gun though but it's a bit too expensive...

I just prefer to use a lightgun I got with one of my Famiclones (which happens to look very similar to the grey Zapper), or at least I would if my TV could play lightgun games.

It's modeled on the Colt Blackhawk: Really an interesting piece of hardware... I do wish the single-action hammer did something different than using it as double-action though.

For those interested, there is also a machine gun for the Famicom: The Bandai Hypershot. (http://www.ebay.com/itm/HYPERSHOT-GUN-nintendo-famicom-import-machinegun-bandai-/320744213308)   :bomb:
