Just checking.
I have not used my nice white PS3 (old model, 40GB HDD, in great condition) for months, so I'm toying with the idea of selling it. But only if the price is right.
BTW, it's this one and it still looks like on the first day now:

PS3 games aren't region locked, correct? If someone living in the U.S were to buy this, do you know of any downsides there would be to it?
Ps1/Ps2 games and dvds would be the only thing you'd be limited on, I do believe.
Algo Fonix is right.
DVD region and PS1 game region would be different. (This model doesn't have PS2 compatibility)
Other than that there shouldn't be any problems.
I have a Japanese PS3 and have a US account and Japanese account on it, it plays all PSN/PS1/PS2 games you download from PSN on it from anywhere, and as far as discs go it will play all PS3 games, but only Japanese PS1 discs and Japanese (region 2) DVDs.
Is it backward compatible ? I mean PS2 games.
