And why?

Wii - It's a Nintendo system, so I default to that, but it still has plenty of its own merits, which I'm not going to repeat since they've been said over and over, but I am disappointed with the laziness of early Wii developers -- most games look worse than a lot of GameCube games graphically.

Why didn't I vote for the other two?

Xbox 360 - It doesn't have any games that would make me want to buy the system.  Yeah, Gears of War looks great, etc., but I have a PC to play shooters.  I don't need a console for that.  I mostly only buy Japanese games, anyway, so that leaves 360 out (yes, I know Blue Dragon is coming out, and I'd love to play it, but I'm not going to buy a whole system just for that one game).

PS3 - Are you kidding?  Sony's arrogance drives me crazy.  I'm not giving them any money.  If the PS3 "big three" (FFXIII, MGS4, DMC3) were ported to 360, then that would seal the deal on 360 for me.

Wii:
1. It's made by Nintendo; need I say more?
2. $250 is a bargin!
3. Nintendo has awesome quality control and customer support.
4. I already own every other Nintendo console launched in the USA, aside from the "DS lite".
5. "Excite Truck!"

PS3:
1. $ON¥ killed "lik-sang"; (http://www.lik-sang.com).
2. $600 WTF!?
3. The PS2 was rubbish:
I have two broken PS2s, and my new one is dying.
Almost all of my friends have had at least one PS2 break on them.
4. Have you seen how many PS3s have been returned defective allready?
5. $ON¥ has horrible quality control and customer support.

XBOX360:
If I wanted to play PC games, I would use my PC.

SEGA:
If SEGA released a new system, (sadly, they never will), I would buy it.

If you read the entire document, you will find that not only is it not lik-sang's fault, but $ON¥ lied about the AC adaptors, and many of $ON¥'s officials in the UK, bought  their PSPs from lik-sang! >:(

Wii is the console that I want. Actually it's a SEGA MARK III, but Wii it's the next gen console on my list of "WANTS", reasons :

a) NINTENDO MACHINE
b) Awesome games
c) Rebirth of classic videogames with the Virtual Console and fully internet and community in Argentina.

My choice would be the Wii.
The reasons are easy: Wii has (and will have) games I like.
Zelda, Monkey Ball, Wii Sports, Rayman, Wario Ware, Elebits, to only name a few are good games (I know, because I've tried). There are many more promising titles on the release lists: Dragon Quest Swords, Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros Brawl, ...
Besides, Wii is cheaper than the other consoles. Although I have more disposable income now, I don't want to spend as much money on consoles as I did when I was younger. Now for me 200 Euros are the maximum of what I would pay for a gaming console.
Of course, brand loyalty also is a factor. *praystothenintendogods*...

I'm open to other makers too, basically. I even bought a PS2 this month. (Dragon Quest VIII ftw)
But even if they were 200 Euros, I wouldn't buy a 360 or PS3, because of the lack of games.
I know both consoles have lots of highly rated games, but almost none of those appeal to me.
The 360 has exactly 2 games I'm interested in, those are "Blue Dragon" and "Oblivion". 2 games aren't enough to justify a purchase. The PS3 hasn't got a single game I'd like to play yet.
I'm no fan of shooting games, sports games or car racers. That narrows the lists down quite drastically.
Look at the 360 and PS3 release lists. Easily over 90% are shooters, sports games or racing games.
How about more diversity? Some platformers would be nice...
