Title: A question to London/UK based members
Post by: Kiddo on November 13, 2011, 04:27:56 am
A friend of mine recently moved to London for school, and he's been hankering to get a gameboy and maybe some more retrogaming goodness.

Are there any stores in London that stock retrogaming consoles, games, accessories etc? If so where are they?

If not, are there any UK based websites (which are not ebay) that sell retrogaming stuff?

Thanks.  :)

and i am sure that the shipping is going to be fast :)

ebay UK is actually a good website, nicer than .com in my opinion.

and there are a megaton of gameboys.  Depending on what he wants, I recently acquired a super fresh minty boxed one or I have some Gameboy Pockets, a backlit gameboy and others.

I was just wondering if there was a walk-in-store that carried some retrogaming stuff, since then you can usually examine the product yourself before you pay money for it. And I bet you guys know that browsing through old stuff by hand/eye is much more fun than by internet  :)

But thanks for you answers.

in my experience, stores that have these things overcharge by a huge amount anyway.
Best bet are car boot sales, of which are there are so so many in the UK, you don't see half as many NESs and gameboys as you used to though :(
