Very interesting thing in the news for Japan based retro gamers. NHK news just reported that three GEO locations have been raided on suspicion of selling used video games that had been stolen.
It says that the stores had purchased about 4 million yen (roughly 50,000$) worth of games from a gang of youths that had stolen them from other stores. Apparently the stores knew that they were receiving stolen goods when they purchased them.
For those of you outside of Japan, GEO is a chain of DVD and video game rental/sales stores. Until last year the ones in my neck of the woods also stocked Famicom games, though they got rid of most of their retro game stock since then.
This must be how 16-bit (http://www.ebay.com/sch/16-bit/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686) gets all his stuff.
LOL, could be! Who knows?
