Hi guys
New member here, longtime member of NintendoAge
I'm trying to encourage interest in SFC box protectors. I had these made up in November, but the response has been less then expected. I would really like to bring Famicom and possibly J-64 protectors to the community too but the limited sales of SFC causes me to hesitate.
So that's why I came here. I think the word just needs to be spread about these. I figure if the market is there for SFC, then FC will be there too.
I've got them on eBay though better priced through www.videogameboxprotectors.com
Cheers,

Welcome to the famicom world forums :)
Hope you have a nice time here
Now about your protectors they are really nice :) I will buy some in the future when i have boxed games :)
Oh and you can put 2 famicom games in one nes box :) and they will fit with no gabs or extra space so if you have games that are with sequels for example smb1 and smb3 or lode runner 1 and 2 you can use the nes box protectors :)
And yeah spread the word about it... when my site is done i will also put a link :)
Good luck with your sales

Thanks,
You may be thinking of the Atari 26/52/7800. Those will fit 2 FC games.
NES is to SmallHere's two in Atari provided by a Nintendoage member:

Ooh, when I get a few more boxed SFC games I'll have to buy some. I always fear that they'll get mashed a little if I display them on a shelf, so I have all my boxed games stored away. :(
Will you ever have exact fit Famicom box protectors? I bought a copy of Kid Dracula that had a form fitting plastic shell which is great! The modified cases that hold 2 FC boxes looks tacky to me, but it does serve a purpose to some people.
Famicom boxes came in many different sizes, so it's impossible to make one one-size-fits-all protective box.

I plan to make one for the cardboard famicom boxes sized approximately 10cm x 2cm x 14 cm
Hi All,
I can vouch for Jim's box protectors. I am an avid user of the NES, SNES, N64, GEN, and SFC box protectors. They work great, and I can't wait for the FC and J-N64 cases!
The use of box protectors really makes my boxed collection pop!
Cheers.
Matt
I've only got one boxed Famicom game, but several NES. I'm glad to see this, and I'll have to put an order in.
It would be great to see loose famicom cart protectors, Id buy 100+ ;)
I'll see if I can find something
These are hard cases or like a hard plastic that can bend a little?
Flexible, they are 12 mil or .3mm PET plastic.
Thanks

I said I'd look into it. The NES cart protectors have been sucessfull.
how many people would buy 50+ loose famicom cart protectors on here? count me in for 100+
I think famicom cart only idea has legs. NES carts have the black sleves. Famicom has got nothing. We can do something about that. I'll get back to you

Unfortunately, for Famicom carts, I couldn't find anything off the shelf the would work . ( I never do) So, I'd have to have a custom order made of these. That takes a little time. I'll put them on my short list of new sizes to explore.
I don't get the loose carts thing myself, but I might pick up a few of the Atari ones that fit two boxes.
Of course, carts come in diofferent sixes too - but i don't see carts as needing protection really, it's boxes that can get all scuffy and creased.

Depends on the price, but I'll be interested in a couple (30+)
I have many FC carts but none of them in original box. In fact, only boxed carts I have are the large-format ones.
BTW I tried to suggest a cut-out layout for paper boxes of loose famicom carts, but nobody cared... I'm still looking for that. Anybody?
I've noticed an increase in sales and interest the SFC protectors. Thanks to all who bought or spread the word about these.
I've lowered the price on the site a bit to help maintain the momentum.
I just love the sfc and fc box art. The north american releases just don't compare.
I'm getting a lot of stuff in March, INTV, PS & sega long box and NES cart protectors. After that I'll be looking hard at FC cardboard and DVD style protectors.
Thanks again for the support, it helps me bring new sizes to the collecting community
we need loose famicom cart protectors more than anything, not enough boxed collectors!

You think so?
I'll add a poll
I think so. I mean yeah, theres collectors out there who would want protectors for their complete games....but when it comes to loose famicom carts they are more widely collected than MIB and there is absolutely NO protection for them, Even loose NES carts at least have the black dust jackets.....
Id buy 200 loose famicom cart protectors right off the bat. (Cause I need about 118 and the rest for future acquisitions)
I received various boxes I ordered from your site this week, great products, the Gameboy protector fit my Maniac Mansion pretty well- I wish I would have ordered more of the Atari boxes, they make boxed Famicom games look great.
Also, the Super Famicom protectors are great I like the fact they only open from the top- no flaps on the bottom.
I will definitely order some protectors for boxed Famicom games, I don't see the point of protectors for lose carts. The way to protectors close it would be pretty inconvenient to insert/remove your cart every time you want to play a game. Some sort of NES type sleeve would probably work better.

Did I mention the box art....... nice.
So the top one is the Gameboy protector and the lower one is the Atari 26/52/78 with two fc games?
Turns out the pop-lock bottom on the SFC wasn't planned, the company just made them that way. But I got to agree, I love how they turned out.
Thanks for the feedback

I dont see it being a problem at all. Id rather have my carts completely enclosed in something than just some dinky little slip cover
Soooo 4 votes on loose cart protectors, anybody want to help me out and throw their 2 cents in on this......?
I am also for having case only protectors... that way all my carts will be in perfect condition :) oh and if you have many carts as i have you won't be playing them all in one day ( who will play 100+ carts in one day :D ) so you wont be opening and closing so many protectors :)
Have you purchased any of these protectors?
Although they are very well made, I don't think they were made for repetitive opening/closing.
With only 5 votes total so far I hope this poll isn't taken very seriously.

Famicom Cart is still a possibility. We're averaging about 1 new size per month and FC carts are on the wish list
Tried to pay with paypal but it said it didn't work, "This payment cannot be completed and your account has not been charged. Please contact your merchant for more information." I'll try again later.
interesting,
I think some of these have sold off the website.....
I'll look around.
Otherwise I can send you a paypal invoice directly
