Title: FDS stuck on loading screen.
Post by: riffrock on February 12, 2012, 04:19:37 pm
Hello Everyone,

I recently acquired a Famicom Disk System and two games, Golf USA and Zelda 2.  When putting in the disks, I can't get past the loading screen.  I haven't received any error codes, other than error code 2 a couple of times (i'm using the ac adapter though).
Does any body have any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks!

95% chance it is a broken belt, the spindles are just turning away.

There are some people around here who repair them for a price, otherwise if it's affordable enough for you I'd just say get another one.

The chances of finding another FDS with a working belt for a price that would rationalize buying two is slim. Xious does  FDS repair, you should PM him.

Or you can get a replacement belt and do it yourself
