Title: Gold Punch-Out (CIB)
Post by: JC on February 24, 2007, 09:28:49 am
I've got an extra gold Punch-Out with manual and box if anyone's interested. I can send/post pics if anyone would like me to. I'll be putting it on eBay on the next 10-cent listing day.

I should write about the difference on the Holy Grails shrine. But, what you basically got is this as the first version of Punch-Out. Then you've got Mike Tyson's version. And then you've got NES Punch-Out. This one has the same fighters as the other two, but in this one there is no "dream bout". The game just ends after the last title bout. It's got different music for screens announcing a title bout, and it's got some poor as English (see the screenshots on the site). And yes, it's been dumped, but it usually isn't listed as the "special" version. I have this dump, too, if you need it.

That'd be awesome  ;D  Maybe include the Gold disks as downloads on the shrine site?   ;)

How do all the emulation sites get away with it? And for that matter the repro sites?

Isn't the patent on the NES technology expired? hence how that company NEXT gets away with their famicom/NES clone system?

yeah, but that doesnt make roms legal because those arent hardware products
