Title: Hey guys, question...
Post by: FamicomRetroGamer on February 25, 2012, 03:55:59 pm
Is Dead or Alive 2 Dreamcast Promo Copy worth anything more than the regular DC copies?

I've got DoA2 for:
- Dreamcast (1x Copy Promo)
- PS2 (1x Copy)
- Xbox (Dead or Alive Ultimate - 2x Copies)

DoA2's so fun to play. ;D

Thanks!

If you find the right collector, yes.  Thing is, it'll be worth more when DC collecting peaks more.  It's still too new.

Still too new? Dreamcast games, not all, some are getting expensive like some.

I'd rather have a retail copy of the game than a promo copy. :upsetroll:

Me too, but let's say I'm a hardcore DOA collector.  That's when the value of a rare, lost DOA promo/demo comes into play.

I see, thanks LET.

Boxed DC games are becoming pricey while disc-only cheap, kinda like NES/SNES/etc games.

DoA2 Promo Copies on eBay:

They sure aren't cheap. :-[

That looks like a bundle copy, which means it won't be as rare as a traditional promo, but still interesting to hang on to.

In my experience, EU sells for less than US sells for less than JP versions of games up to PS2 format.  Worth bearing in mind.
