Hi there!
I'm getting the 22 error code on my FDS. I'd just changed the belt and I saw it's slipping off the motor pulley. I think the main cause is the pulley itself... I'm attaching two photos so you can see what I'm talking about:

If you see carefully, it has some green material (I think it's the previous belt; it was melted when I changed it) I tried to remove all that material but it's too difficult/impossible. I just wondering if I could buy a replacement pulley or if you guys can recommend me another solution.
Please help! :'(
Maybe you should clean it with a knife or something sharp or with a knife and some grain alcohol. This could be the reason why it keeps slipping off. Have you tried to clean it like this??
I will try to clean like that. Can the pulley be taken off so I could clean it better? :-

YAY!!! Got my FDS working!

Cool. Glad you fixed it!
I'd tried to calibrate the spindle for about 1 hour without success. At last, when I lost all hope, I decided to tighten the screw and keep my FDS on a shelf as a decoration piece. But before, I needed to try it once more... AND IT WORKS!
I screamed happily, running through my house like crazy! :'(
I think I had luck! :-[
Eh you have more patience than I have, my FDS is on a display since I "repaired" it
BTW cleaning helped your slipping problem?
Yep, it helps.
I think the belt was slipping off due to all the rubber at the inner side of the top of the pulley. I removed all of that with a knife and alcohol and, after the clean up, the belt keeps in its place. :star:
You do need to tighten the screws and fasten the device, otherwise it might vibrate and not read properly.
I think there's also the factor that the metal bottom plate ensures that the disk system is correctly aligned.
Also, if you don't attach the front black thing (the one with two screws), the disk might not get inserted all the way, or move slightly back during read.
