Thanks guys. I downloaded that Audacity and it's good enough to get the job done, but I'm gonna mess with the others to compare.

Ive got this program i use to copy my lp records to cd and it re masters them and cleans the cracks and pops out. Its called Steinburg Clean v4

I've heard of that...it sounds really cool, since I've got some records I'd like to copy. Thing is, I'd like to keep the pops and crackles. There's something nostalgic about them, I guess.

Is this a program I'd have to pay for? And I imagine I'd need more than software.
