So, I'm planning on throwing a second retro video game party (heavy emphasis on the NES) after this semester ends. Anyone have any fun, cool, or interesting suggestions for things to do? Last year we played a game where you drew a piece of paper with a random video game's name on it, and you had to beat the first board on the game, which was pretty fun. I'd like to do something different this year.
Here is the video invitation I made, by the way:

We had loads of fun with Monopoly; I don't know why, but that game is so much fun (probably because of how quick it goes).
What kind of suggestions are you looking for? You could play Tetris taking turns, like Jenga, whoever hits the top loses, but I don't know how you'd regulate that. :(
Guys at FamiCon (polish party) guessed the game's music for example...
I've been wanting to have a retro gaming night for ages and ages! i have a few toaster NES systems and some SNES and superfamicoms and the Atari 2600's floating around and i'm not short on TV's to use just getting them to work together is a hassle and so is getting anyone to actually come!
@ security16 if i was in US i would 100% come
@treismac well at my retro video game parties we have some sort of contest for example playing YS tank (the hardest verison where enemies can take your bonus items :P )and who gets the highest score wins :)
Oh and we listen to a lot of retro music the genre does not matter (last time i was dancing to "snap everybody dance now" ;D
Oh and i hope you have girl retro gamers cuz they always make everything funnier . For example last time my gf and another girl had a battle against us (the boys ;D ) about who will get the highest level in diamond ( you know that puzzle game with the cool godfather music :D )
There are a lot of things you can do. Also if you have old board games they are also great for retro game parties.
@Jedi QuestMaster hm when we play monopoly it takes hours to finish a game :D i don't know why your games are quick
I think I meant 'fast-paced.' But hours to complete the NES game, really?
ahhh you are talking about monopoly on the nes i was thinking on the board game monopoly ;D
Tonev being in the states would not help you i'm Australian!!! I got a sega megadrive 2 yesterday but i think paying $20 for it and 2 megadrive games i got ripped off!
Very cool invitation, I dig it.
