Title: Does anybody have a PIC programmer?
Post by: famiac on June 16, 2012, 05:11:22 pm
Hello everyone. I was wondering if anybody owns a pic programmer because i really want to do a superCIC mod on my snes, but i cant find the chips preprogrammed available for sale. I was wondering if anybody would program a pic that i sent to their house, and sent it back for me. Ill pay shipping of course.

Thanks!

Where are you from ?

There's the In Game Reset (IGR) too, which allow you to switch frequency and reset the console from your pad.
It use a PIC16F630 too and it works with the SuperCIC (it was made by the same guy Ikari_01).

Can you have both mods on?

Im from the middle east but i live in texas.

As Obama would say "Yes you can." :)
You can even install only one of them, they work separately too.

In my opinion, IGR is nice when you have a Super Everdrive or an sd2snes, you can reset the console to load another game from your couch :)

I'm in France but if you can't build the programmer or if you can't find anybody to send you programmed PICs or to program your PICs then I can do it.

unfortunately i'd never used pic (only avr because it is cheaper and faster)

the easiest solution is 'JDM programmer' + ICProg (Шindoшs only)/ WinPic800/PonyProg

JDM is using PC's serial port and need external power supply.

are russian internets okay?

I just moved so everything is boxed up in the garage with boxes taller than me and barely a place to walk. If you don't find someone in the next couple weeks pm me and I'll try to dig out my programmer.
