Title: So my copy of Fire Red just went through the washing machine
Post by: ulera on August 18, 2012, 08:28:45 pm
It's been there for a few hours and it's still a little damp. What do I do! Is there any way to save my team (I haven't tested it yet) :'(

P.S.  And no cracks about water being effective against fire. This is serious!

If there was no current running through that water just wait for the cartridge to dry and it will be just fine. Put it in a bag of uncooked rice for a day or two to completely dry it to be safe. Or you can open it up and dry it manually. Just make sure it's dry before turning it on.

Like Famiac said, let it dry completely before you do anything. Best thing would be to open it up and let it dry.

Then try the thing with the rice that Famiac mentioned.
Put it in anything that draws moisture and leave it there for some time.

How about the save battery? That could have damaged something.

However, I know my copy of Super Mario Advance survived the washer even without being put in rice. But better do that anyway, to be safe.
