I saw this on Facebook and thought the headline was poorly trying to say that the magazine was going to be updated somehow.  Sucks that isn't the case.  :(

Another chapter of my life finally comes to a close.

I'll miss you Nintendo Power.

Right in the childhood. :(

NP was a biiiiig part of my life back in middle school. It's sad to see it go now.

I was about to say myself that the last shred of my childhood just died.

R.I.P. Nintendo Power

 :'(
I became a subscriber in '94. I was pre-paid up to september 2015 (literally, i just kept sending in re-subscriptions, and they tacked the new ones on to my existing one)

Wonder what a complete set of every issue of np would fetch?
Prediction: within 3 years from now, some one will upload page scans of all the np issues to file sharing sites...

I remember first seeing this, and I had to pause for a moment of respect.  And i think I'll do it again...

God I remember coming home from school in 4th grade and just spending my whole afternoon reading the latest NP issue when it came in the mail. I sure do miss those days.
