Post by: Doc on March 19, 2007, 08:29:04 pm
Who else suffers from this?

Sometimes when I know I have to be up early in the morning, I can't sleep; my alarm clocks aren't very reliable. :(

I've got a pretty well-regulated sleep cycle. Sometimes if I get too much sleep on a given night I'll have a lot of trouble sleeping the following night. Doesn't happen often, though. I enjoy sleep, so I'm glad I can do it regularly. I've often found my blankets so comfortable I have trouble waking up. :o

I have insomnia too, usually I go to sleep at 6AM and wake up at 2PM. I enter to work at 5PM to 2AM, so I came to my house and stay awake until 6AM :/

I just flat-out don't sleep. I get like five or six hours a night, and never all in a row.

Going outside for a walk and some fresh air might help.

At 4 A.M.? Maybe I'll get mugged. :P

Mugged?? :o

That's not good. You live in a dangerous neighborhood?

I'm always thinking of my neighborhood as a standard. When I'd go out at 4a.m. I'd most likely meet foxes and other animals. I live in a very lame and safe place. ;)

I'll get mugged for sure at my neighborhood as well...

Too bad.
Even when I lived in Japan I was in a town of over a million people and me and my wife went out 3 a.m. to buy ice cream or stuff several times. (It was too hot to sleep...)
God bless America. ;)

Lol, you're lucky! There's never anything open at 3 A.M. here...

I was lucky. This was when I lived in Japan.
Back home where I'm now, all stores close at 8 p.m. or sooner. And are not open on Sundays. :-\

That sucks dude.  I have a 24/7 gas station open a few blocks from my house, and a bit further is a 24/7 Wal-Greens.  I'm pretty sure the Super Wal-Mart is 24/7 too.

lol, I'm not worried about getting mugged.  More worried about the police catching me and arresting me for nothing.  They pulled me twice already on the side walk in the middle of broad daylight because I looked suspicious.  At night I can imagine worse, lol.  >.<;

As for falling asleep...  Watch an incredibly boring movie or show...  I learned my lesson from watching Monster Ranchers...  My neck ached the following day from the weird position in my chair I fell asleep in.  You could also listen to music you find that puts you asleep.  Sometimes OSTs do that to me, or classical music.  If watching or listening doesn't help you go to sleep, find a way to cool you down.  Like a fan or something.  My friends used to fall asleep in class when the temperature was cold.

Or -- crossing threads -- read a book. Always works for me -- not kidding.

Yes, reading can make you tired. It doesn't even have to be a boring book.

Bad idea. He'll get mugged. ... for further info see page 1.  ;)

On the other hand... you'd just have to run faster than the others. :D

Carry a gun. :P

Gun + Running = Suspicion (+ Not Safe)
