Title: FDS Zelda won't save, keep getting error #26
Post by: eCockpit on November 07, 2012, 10:58:08 am
:help: :help: :help: Hey, I just got a copy of Zelda 1 for FDS, and the save feature doesn't seem to work.  Every time i try to do anything, like kill mode or even saving, it gives error code number 26.    Please help me!

The disk should have 2 tabs, one on each side.

Look in the top right and top left corners.

If yours have been popped out you will need to cover the holes with some tape.

They're both intact, placed tape over the holes, still error 26.

Sadly, I don't currently own any other FDS game that saves, but I can confirm there are some splotches on the disk that i tried rubbing off with q-tips.  Should I keep trying to get rid of them, or shall i just return the disk?

What kind of cleaner do you recommend?
