Title: Where can I buy famiclone systems?
Post by: Tecmo Ninja on January 04, 2013, 12:26:31 pm
I have been on EBAY and all I can find is the NES Famicom but I can't find the clones that copied off of that console, any help would be appreciated.

It is a tv standard...  If your tv is new 100% it supports both pal and ntsc

If your tv is American you want NTSC, as that is the American standard.

But with a PAL famicone you have to play slower with borders on screen and squished graphics.

Why don't you get one of these?  I'm picking one up myself, just as an addition:

He'll have more in stock soon.  Worth it because of the famicom resemblance and the great multicart that comes with it I'd say.

That does look like a nice clone, let us know what it's like when you get it please. :)

Dang, I just saw that console and missed out, I would have bought that. Any other place I could get that?

Try sending the seller a message on eBay telling him you are interested in one of these clones and maybe he will list one for you. That is what I would do.

I would definitely recommend NTSC over PAL wherever you are.

I grew up with PAL games but they are noticably slower and it's so annoying.

By the way, I sent that seller a message asking for one myself - but if/when it arrives it'll be going straight into storage as a NIB famiclone to accompany my other one.  I know that sounds ridiculous but I have an AV famicom on the way to play and an SFC Super 8 too, so I don't need a famiclone to play, I just think it looks fantastic (for a clone).

He's sold a fair few so they seem popular at least.

I think they are PAL, they were much cheaper on volumerates, but no longer avaliable.
