On the net I read that Nintendo and Sega finally made a deal to make an olypics game; ''Mario and Sonic at the olympics'' of couse, incorparating mario and sonic head to head in olympic sports! There will also be many other caracters from the world of mario and from the world of sonic! This is gonna rock! ;D :D
Gee, a fat plumber vs a hedgehog named Sonic - kinda one-sided.
I had the same thought.
Maybe they give Sonic some sleepy pills. ::)
I think it's a good idea, but an Olympic game? Oh gosh, why not a true-plattform videogame like we've waiting tons of years since the 16 bits era starts?. I think this game is going to be cool, obviusly, but I feel like it's going to suck in some way 'cause I want a platform game :(
Tae Kwon Do is an Olympic event. ::)
Besides, I'm the only who miss that fatty Sonic from the Sega Genesis, and now he turned into an anorexic character with an evil look.
We miss you Fatty Sonic :(
At least Tails has always stayed true to his old form. :D Go Tails! (http://www.famicomworld.com/forum/Themes/famicomworld/images/post/cheesy.gif)
I've got this preordered at the EB I work at. You don't know how excited I am for it.

Are you being sarcastic?
The game looks ok. But none else wants a super-duper old school platformer ?
No, I'm being dead serious. I'm just happy Sonic and Mario are in anything together...although I'd prefer Smash Bros. Brawl. ;D
Of course I'd like a super-duper old school platformer.
Would be nice.
How about "Super Mario Sonic World"? ;) I'd buy it.

Yeah, it would be awesome a new platformer, I hope this Mario-Sonic alliance continue for some years, at least some of us wants SEGA back in the scene with a new console, but it's kinda impossible. Oh those years of Sega vs Nintendo :(
I feel old.
I'd love a platformer, myself. But I'm happy they're even together now. :)
BLAST PROCESSING!!!
On a more serious note, did blast processing even "exist"?
Only sort of. The Genesis had some damn fine processing power, sure, but 'blast processing' as a term wasn't coined until the SNES started to pick up steam.
Well, blast processing isn't a real technical term, it's just a marketing phrase. The 68000 on the Genesis ran at about 7.6mhz while the SNES's 65816 ran at 3.58mhz. Of course, CPU speed alone doesn't determine anything. The other technical reality of "blast processing" is that the Genesis was able to render one frame of video while displaying another. This is common in consoles today, but was not something the SNES was capable of doing.
