Definitely a lot of announcements for Wii U because as of now the console's very dry and it needs to cover the hardcore and casual audience, or else, hardly anyone will buy it. Not to mention that it doesn't seem to have much third party support.

I'm looking forward to seeing more info on Pokemon X/Y. I don't own a WiiU, don't plan on buying one until PS4/720 are out for comparison. There's a lot of speculation talk right now that when PS4/720 come out, it'll be the Wii vs the PS3/360 all over again in terms of what the systems are capable of.
I think that last point is already pretty damn visible from the PS4 alone...

Wii U is already competing against 360/PS3 and then later on also versus 720/PS4.

I think the timing was absolutely right, the product was not though. The WiiU will not be competing with PS4, don't be under any illusions on that. To be honest, it's not even really competing with 360 and PS3 either because the timing was wrong to compete with them. I personally think the WiiU is really struggling and they'll need to come out with a new console sooner than they would like.
5-7 games
There will be Zelda Wind Waker HD and probably seeing a October 2013 release..they will show a first trailer or demo for the next Smash ros game..more trailers for Pokemon X & Y, maybe the first Glimpses of a new Zelda game which won't be released before winter 2014 anyway and maybe sequels for metroid, mario..maybe a new star wing also but all in all nothing really new to make me believe i need a WiiU.
As good as the Nintendo games are, but they lost the creativity part..its better graphics and some small new features but its always the same series..the same characters and in general the same gameplay.
I wish they would finally go the third party developer route and create great games which are technically not a generation behind when the ps4 and the next xbox consoles are released.
