I am sure its the transistor they game me is the wrong one. Any ideas what I am doing wrong or where I can get the correct transistor in the UK?
Thanks
B
Be sure, that your TV support NTSC(60Hz).
It does mate

I just tried it my Sony PVM also. Sound plays fine, similar image :-[
Just use the transistor inside your famicom and which guide are you using.
I removed the original transistor, I'm using the 80sFreak mod
Post some pics of your mod so we can see if it's all wired correctly.
Thanks for all your help guys, I really appreciate it!

I took the ground for the video from the other side of the board for now
Sorry, not quite sure what you mean. You mean what transistor I am using?
^ yep, I take it he wants to know the value of the capacitor and the transistor code you are using
Sure ok, give me a sec

The transistor is Bc635 fcb, the one from 22 to 21 says 104z, the one that connects to video out is 33
Well your using a NPN transistor.I would take out the one your using a use the original PNP transistor and see if that fixes your problem.
So solder back in the original transistor but life leg E?
Yup.
Oh ok, only solder it to the bottom of the board this time?
Yes,its all detailed in this guide. http://jpx72.detailne.sk/modd_files/fc/avmod.htm
Popped the original transistor back in and... I'm dancing!
Thanks guys, the pic has got jail bars but hey beggars can't be choosers I am just great full for some nes action! Lol
Nicely done,as for jail bars the best solution is to get some copper tape that has conductive adhesive and simply slide it under the ppu and ground it to pin 20.
