Title: Is It Possible To Mod A Famicom To Accept An FDS Internally?
Post by: okame on April 26, 2013, 11:29:50 am
I got the broken FDS drive that came with my Twin Famicom fixed, and I might be able to get a Famicom from the guy. If I got a broken RAM cart for parts & used what's left of the FDS console for the internal connection that Sharp use for the Twin, would it be possible to mod a Famicom to accept an internal connection? I'm not giving up on the idea of having an NES/FDS/Famicom system, but I'm trying to find the cheapest mod option available!

Absolutely not. Open up your Famicom and take a good look, there is essentially no room inside it.

okame, my friend, it's possible, but you have only two kidneys. Think about it.

I would like to see if this kind of thing could be done with an NES...
