Started a new job today after 2 years at my old one. Yikes my head feels like its gonna explode. I don't think I've ever had a good first day at a job. Has anyone?
New jobs always suck for a while. I've had about four or five first day experiences at jobs and they all were the same...all just as bumbling. I think that's the best word for it. There's always the learning curve. :P The worst was having to jump into serious work without any training. Learning on the job can be the worst.
Did the new job relocate you?
I had a good first day at the job I still have now. :D
Yep, me and the fiancee packed up and moved to kansas city. I'll be an official home owner by mid-july, crazy.
Congrats on that.
I'd like to be a home owner too as soon as possible. I don't like paying rent. :)
New home owner? make sure you get a basement so you can start planning for a display/musuem room for all your Nintendo antiques and of course famicom games. :)
Umm.. I would caution you if you store any valuables in the basement.

Another thing about basements is that probably your kids will want to live there at a certain age. ;)
haha ya...it looks like the new place has like a den off to the side that the current owner keeps his 60" plasma in :o...that will probably be my game/movie room.
Mmmhhh... 60 inch plasma... ;D
Does the TV come with the house by any chance? Would be nice. :)

Good luck with the job!
Hehe, I can't say if I've ever had a good first day at a job since I've never had one... I better get one soon though...
I just applied for a new job. :P :-\ I'll let you know how my first day goes, assuming I get the position. ;)
What kind of job?
Paper pushing, mostly, but in an area of education that interests me and where I can move up: shaping how and what students learn (curriculum and instruction).
That sounds nice. This would be interesting to mee, too.
Good luck. ;D
Finally started my new job today. It went great...a little slow, the day dragged on, but what should I expect from training. Should be good but I hope I don't have to sit in front of a computer too much. I did that for most of the day, and it mades me want to avoid checking in with FW's forum when I got home. :(
i hate it but i love it, what do you do, i balance and rotate tires
I'm a courtesy assistant at Fareway; a local grocery store. During the summer, I sell corn for my dad.
do you have any tomatoes? :D (in-joke)
I was waiting for that guy the whole time I was selling. Sadly I never saw him. :D
I work with my dad at his Mattress warehouse business. The hours are everywhere and the pay is shitty.
Next summer, I'm gonna get a real job so I can buy a car.
I do freelance PC repair, home/small office networking, and to a much lesser extent, I repair CRT TVs / Monitors, DVD players, gaming consoles and component level repair of PC hardware (like replacing blown capacitors or busted ports on motherboards).
I'm a Java coder for CSC working under a contract with the FAA. Ever been stuck at an airport because your flight was delayed? I work on modernizing the software that supplied information to the FAA which guided them to make the decision to tell the airlines to delay that flight.
I'm unemployed/ doing intern work, but I'm working to get my Apple certification. I plan to repair apple computers and be a in-home dispatcher.
I work in sales foe the Kelloggs snacks division. Sounds a lot cooler than it is, I'm basically a pack out bitch.
