Title: how to safely replace the red eject switch?
Post by: pal52 on October 09, 2013, 06:10:25 am
i have a couple non working famicoms, and was hoping to take the eject switch off the bad ones and put them on my working famicoms.
The eject switch appears to have 2 tabs that you can press in to remove it. but i tried and broke two of them. Did they break because they are old and brittle? were they not meant to be removed that way?

Just switch the tops completely.

that is an option, but the top with the good switch had a crack on the side.

You are removing them correctly, but after 20-30 years it's normal that they crack..
