Title: How to stop a Famicom from yellowing?
Post by: BaconBitsKing on November 01, 2014, 03:28:17 pm
I recently purchased a Famicom that is on its way now. The item's description says there it slight yellowing (apparently very slight because it looked as white as an eggshell in the pictures).

Anyways, how can I keep my Famicom from yellowing a lot?

I've done some looking around, and apparently I should try to keep it away from sunlight, but that's not really that possible considering that every room in my house with a TV has some huge window.

Are there any other precautions that I could take?

Hey, did you, by any chance, get that one from a seller from Akihabara, Japan? Because mine is about to ship in soon and is the same sort of thing. I think he just uses one photo for all the units, so mine might come in yellowed.

The seller is "hit-japan" and it doesn't say where it came from. Its location just says "2-4 week delivery!, Japan"
