Title: Help calibrating a FDS
Post by: mammal93 on April 14, 2017, 01:06:01 pm
I'm about to give up I've had this for three weeks now and I just don't understand what is wrong. I've tried a lot of tutorials, but my system looks different inside than all of them. I'm pretty sure its the spindle head. I got it to wear I thought it was good, but when I just tried to test it it made a loud noise like a motor that didn't stop till I took out the disk and got an error 01, which had never happened till this point. Does anyone have an suggestions, its driving me crazy.  :'(

Do you happen to have any pictures of the unit?

I have had great luck with Retro Raider Japan' belt replacement and calibration tutorial http://retroraiderjapan.weebly.com/tutorials.html

When I followed that one I didn't have to remove the springs or anything and mine works great now
